Now, this started in a "Yahoo! Games" room, (Graffiti if you must know), where in the lobby, a guy was having a heated debate about some Pollitical bullshit.
Now, at first I just watched, then after a few moments he started with the insults... It was pretty funny watching a bunch of people have an Internet Arguement...
But then things started going out of hand... The other people were declaring a truce, but this Turkish fucker kept on going. I won’t go into the details, but he was really firing it up.
I kept on watching, then he started with the hacking threats, and they were a dead give-away of who they were dealing with...
So I thought to myself, its about time to make another scam egg, and this is the perfect oppertunity!
So here it is!!
I first emailed him as Tony Duff, (head chairman of Tibetan Computer Company), and heres the email:
Quote:
Hello. I am Mr. Tony Duff of the Tibetan Computer Company, Kathmandu, Nepal. I on behalf have emailed you to say we have seen your good talents in the computer section of the Yahoo! Forums, and would like to inform you that you have been selected to be an Internet Tester of our software, and to give us feedback, about it, etc. We have been looking to recruit new Testers, as our Company rapidly expands. Now, if you are agreeing with this. Please send your details back to us, so we can process them into our database...
Thankyou,
Sincerely,
Tony Duff
Tibetan Computer Company
So, I waited for a reply. 2 Days later I get this:
Quote:
Is this true?? Because if it is, I would be happy to become a Tester. Here are my details as follows:
Name: Hasan Akmal
Age: 20
Country Of Origin: Turkey
Language(s): Turkish, English
Address: [HIDDEN]
Phone: [HIDDEN]
Email: [HIDDEN]
Thank you much.
Sincerely,
Hasan Akmal.
So, I begun my scam. I then sent him this:
Quote:
Dear Hasan,
Thankyou, these have been entered into our database. We have given you a Username and Password (Password can be changed later on), so you can log on anytime. If you have a credit card, or Paypal/PayMate, etc, please enter these details in yourself, and these will definatly NOT be shared with any third-party companys, or anyone else for that matter.
Thankyou,
Sincerely,
Tony Duff
Tibetan Computer Company
And when I sent that, he got really suspicious about me. So I had to do alot of quick thinking. So I made some phoney stuff up, letters, etc, and sent them.
I had to make a site as well, to make it look legit. (Lucky my Uncle had a spare Domain, and a Email Server, LoL)
I also told him he had to send US$20 to my (fake) PayPal account per month, to go towards what I said was "Program Development", and told him a load of crap that the other Testers do it as well...
So he sent the first installment rightaway, and I praised him for the advance payment.
After a few things here and there, I made a program on VB .NET (Visual Basic .NET), and that took me a real long while, so I got my friend Dave to help me, and my Uncle to give me some Program Making tips.
It was just a basic IM program, which I made off MSN BETA 8.0, which I opened in the RegEdit. And changed a few things around, etc....
So I sent a 30-Day Trial copy to Hasan, and he sent me feedback.
This is what he said:
Quote:
Hello Mr. Duff, and first I would like to say, that I tested out this program, its not that good, its kinda crap, I’m just giving honest feedback, I hope you understand. But it’s ok. Just needs a bit more stuff on it...
Oh, and I sent you another US$20 to help develop the programs...
Sincerely,
Hasan Akmal
So, I kept it up, like, I didnt make any programs after that, but a made a few games using GAME MAKER, and put them on the site, (non-downloadable, lol), and he played em, then feedbacked on them, saying they were simple but alright....
He sent me another US$40 over a 2 month period, and then after that I disapeared. He kept sending emails, but I never replied. I shutdown the site, and deleted any evidence of it.
I still have that US$80 to this day...
:D
[NOTE TO HASAN: IF YOU PLAY WITH FIRE, YOU’RE GUNNA GET BURNT!!]

Dec 29, 2007 8:02 am - Wow! I love all of your pranks! This one was really mean though, haha! You should have kept it going for a while then sent the money back as his paycheck, then had him keep sending more and just keep it going and going until he realizes that he isn’t making anything. Genius! 4*!
