Alright everybody hope u like my first egg.
In this egg i will explain how I use two old speakers to grow plants in my room and also how u can use the same set up to keep surveillance over your room.
First your gonna want to get some speakers. I picked mine up from a pawn shop for a reasonable $12. Hell you might just have some lying around your house. Anyways they are really easy to find
dont let them fool you, they are pretty shitty, but that’s besides the point. You arnt going to be using them for listening to music anyways. The reason i choose speakers for this is because
-They are hella stealthy, a speaker looks like a speaker
-They are basically an empty box.
ok once you have your speakers pry the backs of them open.
once you have the backs pried open it should look like this
like I said, just a big old box. ok now your going to want to disconnect all the wires and begin prepare for the Plant growing set up.
Get either
-Metallic tape or
-Aluminum Foil
I’m using the Metallic tape because I imagine its easier. I then took the metallic tape and cut strips the same length as the speaker box. after cutting enough strips i lined the inside walls of the speaker box.
The inside of the box is lined with a reflective surface because this provides your light source to hit all parts of your plant.
Now if you have ever researched how to grow plants indoors you might know that the humidity most defiantly has to be controlled. im gonna do this by setting up an electric fan used in computers along with a RC car battery.
get creative, set up some sort of circuit that you can run your fan from. Remember the fan is key in bringing fresh air to your plants and releasing humidity. I place the fan over the second hole in the speaker box. Damn isnt that hole convenient
now u want to locate a container that will hold the soil and all that shit u need for growing your plants. This is what i used
its one of those storage containers. its fits perfectly in my box so in it went. and that copper pipe you see sticking out of the right hand side is my watering system. Unfortunately i didn’t take any pictures but basically
the blue pieces are copper L pieces and the red dots are holes where the water escapes, the top of the pipe hooks up to a water bottle that i can squeeze until all the water is forced into the soil.
now u want to choose a lighting method. i used a simple fixed 45w bulb for my set up. i also dont have any pictures of this but only because its not really important what kind of lighting u use as long as it can be applied to your plants needs.
ok now its time to plant your seeds, turn on your light, and watch your shit grow. here is a pic of the final set up.
the door hinge is going to be used later as a way of opening the back instead of just popping it on and off. and the covering over the fan insures that no light excapes..aka u dont get caught.
oh yea one more thing. the surveillance part.
ok so while your plants are first starting out your going to be left with 1 speaker remaining (since you bought 2 speakers just like me) with this speaker your gonna take your "surveillance camera" and have it sticking threw one of the speaker holes. have this camera easily reachable so that u can film whenever u bring a slut home. This way you can show off to all of your buddies.
if you dont get any action (haha loser) then just save the extra speaker, your gonna need it when your plants start to get bigger. And when your plants do start to grow place the second speaker on top by cutting off the top of your first and the bottom of your second and relocating your light source
Jun 04, 2006 2:06 pm - haha yea, 20 speakers might just look a little fishy, but what u can do is grow 4-5 small plants in the speaker until they are about 6 inches high and have good roots and then transplant them in your backyard.

However you lose points for telling people to use a normal house light...that will not work at all. You need a fluro or HPS light to actually make it out of vegetation and into the flowering stage with any ammount of success.

hey yea thanks for the advice, i got lazy when it came to the lighting. i’ll make sure to do that in my setup
Jun 04, 2006 3:04 pm - Go flourescent, they’re cheap and low heat so no worry about fires, and they last really long and put out a lot of light with little energy. Also, they provide a wider range of the light spectrum than regular house lights.

yea this is bitchen but what if opps roommate mom knockes over speaker and smell i give it 4*
well first off all your gonna want to choose a ground location in the room, somewhere not in full view, i have mine under my desk. secondly your pot filled with all the soil is most definatly going to weight the bottom down. its pretty damn hard to knock over this set up. thanks for alll the feedback everybuddy

I have been growing weed for 2 years now(for personal needs) and this has amazed me!Only thing you did wrong is the lightball,you cant put just any light ball in it...Anyway its a pure 5!
un 12, 2006 1:12 am - Thats a bloody awesome first egg, lots of effort put into it. A flourescent light would work better and they give more light. Wouldn’t the al foil over the fan make it less effective?
Jul 26, 2006 11:14 am - Cool egg except a normal light wouldnt work too well, you should at least use a 400 watt HPS light but that would be hard to fit in there.
Oct 21, 2007 1:26 pm - this is so kickass man i already made one but u should explain the lighting (floresent man not just that other shit) and water sytem better. but over all sweet. oh and what about the smell it will stink up ur room so bad!
Oct 28, 2007 9:32 am - Nice. You’ll need decent lights(150w CFL of HPS tho) and a carbon filter or external extraction if you dont want your house stinking of dope.
