Have you ever wanted to change the color of one object in a photo (such as changing the color of a car, shirt, etc.)? Here’s perhaps the fastest, easiest way to change the color of well… whatever.
STEP ONE
Open a photo containing an element that needs to be a different color. Put a selection around the area you want to be recolored using any selection tool you’d like ( I used the magic want, and right clicked when I wanted ot add a part to it. ) but choose whatever you’re more comfy with.
STEP TWO
Choose Hue/Saturation from the adjustment layer pop-up menu at the bottom of the layers palette.
STEP THREE
When the dialog appears, click on the Colorize checkbox at the bottom right of the dialog and then start dragging the hue slider. As you drag, the color of the selected area will begin to change.
STEP FOUR
if the color appears too intense after dragging the Hue slider, just drag the station slider to the left to decrease the saturation of the color.
STEP FIVE
Click OK in the Hue/Saturation dialog to complete the color change once you have found a color that you like.
