materials:
1. empty pop can (can also use beer bottle)
2. axe body spray (or other burnable liquid)
3. a lighter
steps:
step 1. spray burnable liquid into can
step 2. light at the opening of the can

step 3. put out somewhere and enjoy the cande, it burns for about 5 min if you spray it in for 20 seconts.
hope you enjoyed, i found this out last night after i finnished my like... 30th pop and decided i wanted to find somthing to do with them instead of throw em all away... making my trash guy mad...

Jun 12, 2006 2:10 pm - Thats cool, but how long do you spray it for? Also, you could use cardboard or newspaper and stuff it in there and let it soak up some gas or oil and it’ll burn for like an hour. 4*s
J n 12, 2006 4:58 pm - it is a candle by no mans standards, but ti is cool. put some water in the can, and the flame gets a little higher. i’ve found hairspray gets the biggest flame.

i only had acess to axe, but i imagine aquanet hairspray would be the best hairspray to use. im gunna go try phillyguys idea with putting it all on paper and having it burn for longer. and when you put water in it it gets a bigger flame cuz the gas is closer to the opening

Jun 12, 2006 6:35 pm - if it didnt work you did it wrong, or you axe was spraying air and not the acctuall deoderent, i had that problem, it sounds diffrent and when it is spraying the deoderent it makes the can cold, then you light it.

Jun 12, 2006 9:34 pm - you can do this also but instead of axe you use butane or lighter fluid, when you light it it shoot a jet of flame but it only lasts a few seconds. 5*****
Jun 13, 2006 1:15 am - i just did this with a 1 kilo milo tin and the flame was massive i only put like a small hole in the lid and put hair spray tis is good as.....5***
Jun 18, 2006 9:46 pm - .. why not just use a real candle? Lasts longer, and such.. But if I ever get stuck on a island with axe, a pop can, and a lighter. I’ll surely use this new survival technique.

what also works which i might write up is using a 2l bottle...filling it with your preffered gas, lighting the end and then squeezing the bottle really hard...
i tried yours too with many things...no one use a bottle...it melted :(
