Exploring Universals Islands of Adventure
So last week I hit up Islands of adventure (with free tickets) and I decided to take it out of Florida and put it on your screen, so here is my tour.
(Park Map)
So as you enter you notice the big sign that says “islands of adventures” as if you didn’t know were your were already.
You then you go thru the ticket checkers.
Now you think your gonna see some rides, but no there’s this bridge.
Then another.
And finally the park in entrance.
There are tons of stands selling expensive crap.
The first ride you see is the Hulk.
It’s a cool roller coaster, but its intense and your head hurts after from all the jerking around.
The first area you enter has a super hero related theme to it.
The next big ride is Spider man, it’s sort of a roller coaster simulator, its was one of the coolest rides I’ve ever been on.
Right next to spider man is Dr. Dooms Fear Fall, it blasts you up to the top then sends you flying back down (predictable, I know.) The ride exits into a huge arcade.
That’s me in a kick-ass driving simulator, which incorporates a real Cobra body.
Now the next are is Toon Lagoon.
Not a lot of rides in this section, mostly cafes and shit.
The only ride I recall in Toon Lagoon is the Timber Mountain Log Ride, it’s a huge ass log ride, it slowly brings you to the top then drops you to the bottom at over 60mph, check out the video.
As the log is from the log ride is circling around, for 25 cents you can shoot it with water guns, its funny cause none of the people on the ride are expecting it, and its aimed right at there heads.
Now is the most detailed of the parks sections, Jurassic park.
This is a popular photo spot.
Its filled with places to eat drink and spend your hard earned cash.
There is this popular ride that is similar to the log ride, it slowly brings you to the top of that grey building and drops you down it. When you hit the water it splashes over 40 feet in the air.
There is this section at the bottom of the Jurassic log ride that’s called splash zone, but most people aren’t aware of how big the slash is, and its funny as hell when people have cameras or babies near it.
This mother had NO idea how wet she was going to get, and the baby was screaming its ass off lol.
The next area you enter is called The Lost Continent.
There was this cool old style roller coaster called the Flying Unicorn, its not as intense as some of the other rides I went on, but if your scared of heights you might shit yourself.
Another amazing roller coaster was the Dueling Dragons, it’s a high intensity fast passed upside down roller coaster that I’m sure you’ll get a kick out of.
Right across from the dueling dragons, is this wicked restaurant that’s shaped like a tree.
I guess you cant really call this a ride, but it was neat, there was this water fountain with this dude in it, and he would talk to you and wet the little kids.
There was this Sindbad play they had happening, it was really cool, it was stuffed with explosives and acrobatics.
This is the outside of the stage were a show depicting Zeus and Titus was preformed on water projected back rounds, it was like nothing I ever saw before, but they wouldn’t let me take pictures inside, bunch of ass holes.
There was this restaurant that claimed to be the best theme park restaurant of 2005, we didn’t eat there cause that food is expensive.
Now the final section of the park Seuss Landing.
There are no big rides in here, mostly shops and crap.
And finally the exit.
Well i hope you enjoyed,

| Jun 12, 2006 7:59 pm - Wow, this is far from exploring. This is an active amusement park. I don’t see why you made an egg out of it. Why not explore an abandoned amusement park? You know, actual exploring. Heh, noobs. Just because you’re taking pictures doesn’t mean you’re exploring. |

well I’m exploring a active amusement park. we can substitute the word "explore" with "guiding you threw" if you like. |
| Jun 12, 2006 8:32 pm - No, I don’t like. This is complete bullshit. You’re giving exploration eggs a bad name. I mean, half your pictures are sideways. |
