Wanna get some quick change? Read on...
I am going to go through two scams/hacks for your typical payphone. They are fairly simple, but you will get in trouble if you get caught.
Something like these have been posted before, but they sucked.
One
What you’ll need... A wire clothes hanger
A pay phone
A bag of some sort
What to do...
First, make sure your target phone is out of sight, or do it in the dark. This is gauranteed to work, so you don’t want to abandon mission half way through.
Take the clothes hanger, and straighten it out. Once it is straight, make a hook shape on the end. (See picture)
Now you have your tool. It will have to bent here and there later on, when manuvering.
Next, go to your target pay phone. You might want to make sure that this phone is pretty well used, so there will be more loot.
Now the tricky part- insert the hook end into the coin slot. Feel around, and every now and again pull it up slightly to see if you’ve latched on to anything. What I mean by this is that there is a latch that controls the coin slot, when pulled correctly, will release.
*This may take a while, so be prepared to work at it for about 5 minutes*
Now if you think you’ve got it, pull it up. Hold the bag underneath it. If all goes as planned, you should walk home with anywhere between $5 to $50.
Two
This method won’t make anywhere near as much as the first, but it is reliable, and you have a much less chance of getting caught.
What you need...
A hunk of toilet paper
A payphone (as above)
A barbecue lighter
What to do...
This is fairly simple. Stuff the ball of paper up into the change slot. Leave it for about 3 days or so, because any longer and there is a chance that it will be emptied or some one complains.
After the 3 days, take the bbq lighter, stick it up the change slot, and burn the paper away. All of the quarters or change from calls that didn’t get through will be yours!
Make sure that the paper is jammed very far up, so tehre is no chance that someone reaches up and finds it.
Tips
-You may want to use phones in hotels, or hospitals (if possible, but risky) where there will be much usage.
-Work in the dark, or hidden. Don’t get caught, it’s stealing!
-Don’t get greedy.
-Try to find out when the phones are emptied, and don’t work on those days!

Yes thats right he used this L.E.D light or something similar to it.
All he did was to put the light where you insert your coins. Aperently it triggers
some sort of lens and all the coins fall out...
He said his been doing this over 35 years!
And never got caught... Until one day.
And thats when he shared his experience on tv. ( discover channel )
Now, amigo, If you can do this and find the way that man did it then ill give you a 5* and a 5* in your profile.

anybody ever seen the payphones with the LCD screens? the ones that say welcome to please insert 25c and dial the number?, when the payphone is hung up, punch in the number "2727378", it is fairly east to remember, it will put you into an operators menu, it will ask for a pic number, punch in "00000" and hit the enter key or save key or whatever it is, it brings you to another menu that says enter OP code, i havent gotten past this part yet but i belive it has something to do with making phone calls. if you think this is useful rate my profile a 5

Nov 19, 2006 5:52 am - payphone another question. i just walked to the local headphone at a circkle K - (just to view a payphone again) and I looked in the change slot and it would seem a little hard to put the paper up there since the latch extends very little. what is the solution.? Or should i just put it has far as i can.
Question 2: when i stick the lighter up there (remember) the latch doesent extend that much on a payphone.
