Okay, this sounds kinda stupid, but its an awesome recipe on making some good ass breadsticks or a loaf or even a breadbowl for chili (ive tried it it works!). Anyways, this is obvious, but just a reminder to wash your hands before handling with food
Ingredients:
2 1/2-3 cups Flour (white or whole wheat, dont matter)
1 TSP Oil (olive oil)
1 TSP Salt (iodized aka normal table salt)
1 TBS Yeast (Quick-Rise or Instant type)
1 Cup Warm Water (not hot)
Procedure:
Preheat Oven, then take 1- 1 1/4 Cups of your Flour. Add Yeast & Salt. Stir with Water until nice, smooth pastey-kinda feel. Add Flour until stiff. Mix with hands until consistent. Put on counter, form it into a ball, coat it with the TSP of Oil, cover it with a cloth or Saran-Wrap, then let rise in a warm (not hot) place for 1 hour or when it has doubled in size. Once done rising, remove cloth or Saran-Wrap then punch it down on the counter (this removes air) and roll it out, then roll it tightly into a loaf, or into a bowl shape, or divide into little sticks, or a pretzel or whatever you want. then bake at 350 degrees Farenheit, but keep an eye on it because I’m not sure how long it goes in for. then let cool for a few min., then eat up!
Tips For Flavor:
If you have Oregano handy, mix some in as you are mixing the ingredients for better breadsticks these are almost like Olive Garden Breadsticks when made right along with some extra Salt and some Garlic Butter
