This is an idea I have been thinking about for a while now. Basically I wanted an easy to make ammo for my BB/ Pellet gun that would be very painful or just do something cool.
My idea comes from the fact that when salt gets in an open cut it burns like hell.
--------------------------------------------------
Materials Needed:
1)Glue Gun
2)Glue Sticks For The Glue Gun
3)Salt
4)A metal surface( Frying pan would be good)
5)Something to shape the glue with ( Toothpicks?)
--------------------------------------------------
Step 1) Ok to start this off turn your glue gun on and warm it up. Put in a glue stick too.
Step 2) Pour a pile of salt on your metal surface about an inch high. The height doesn’t really matter at all though.
Step 3) Have your toothpicks or whatever your using ready. Now take the gluegun and use it to shoot a small blob of hot glue on the pile of salt.(Keep in mind it has to fit in the barrel of your gun so don’t make it to big.)
Step 4) When the blob of glue is on the pile of salt, get your toothpicks and start rolling the glue around. Make sure you get a lot of salt on it.
Try and make the shape as round as possible.
(When the glue starts to dry a bit it gets less sticky and you can shape it easier.)
Step 5) Thats pretty much it. All you have to do is keep in mind the fact that if its too big it wont fit in your gun and if its to small it wont shoot as far.
Once dry if its to big you can use a lighter to heat it up and shape it a bit better and reduce the size.
This ammo is perfect for shooting friends with because the glue is clear and once in the skin its hard to see what you got hit with. But is extremely painful.
And don’t tell me this won’t work because of this and that because it works.
The only problem is it takes a while to get use to the crafting of the glue. Once you figure it out though you can make these fast.
Oh and by the way these shoot just as good as the regular BB’s if crafted to a good size.
Jun 17, 2006 12:54 pm - 1. It would ridiculously hard to shape the glue with tooth picks.
2. The salt would fuck up your barrel.
3. Sounds like you just made this up in 10 seconds.
Jun 17, 2006 1:41 pm - Oh, nevermind. You have to put it in your rifle... I think you should add a deformed lead pellet inside the blob of glue so it could travel through the air easier.
If you just shot it like that I’m thinking it would veer off course.
Jun 17, 2006 1:44 pm - Yea you could do that but it might be to big then to fit in the barrel.
But this is just my way of doing it. Adding on to my idea is fine if it works.
I might try that actually.
Jun 17, 2006 1:49 pm - That’s why I said deformed pellet. You could smash it with a hammer to get it deformed, cut a peice of it to make it smaller, then use pliers or something to make it round. Then you could stick it into the blob of glue.
Jun 17, 2006 3:44 pm - the first one clogged my barrel, so then i changed the design, and it fired, not nearly as good as a pellet, but good enough to sink into some skin. 4*
Jun 17, 2006 4:11 pm - 30 years of doing this? BULLSHIT! You are what, 10-15 years old? This will do nothing but fuck up your gun. The salt will come off inside the gun and jam it up. Any water will rust the few metal parts air soft guns have. Not to mention this is going to kill the already shitty accuracy airsoft guns have.
Jun 17, 2006 6:28 pm - if all you are trying to do is hurt them use a real bb or get an airsoft gun this is to more work that its worth if it works perfect whitch it won’t
Jun 18, 2006 8:25 am - he got confused from when you said
Quote:
After 30 years of doing this maybe a slight corrosion would happen?
he thought you ment you were doing this for 30 years or something.
anyway i think that any gun that is strong enough to puncture skin from farther then 10 feet is too expensive to ruin with these deformed home made bbs.
any bullet no matter if its made of glue and salt,or plastic,or your grandma’s peg leg, if its not exactly 6 mm in diameter and a perfect circle will scratch your gun’s barrel and lower it’s accuracy.
if you dont believe this then you might as well just take a normal BB,file it down a bit (or dont if you dont believe me that if it’s bigger then 6 mm it will damage the barrel) and then spread some glue on it and roll it in a pile of fine-crushed salt, it will have the same result...
Ju 18, 2006 8:59 am - Any gun that cant puncture skin from farther than 10 feet is a waste of money lol.
My guns can puncture skin with a Q-tip from farther than that.
And if your worried about damaging your barrel which hasnt happened to me yet, just put the ammo in the tip of the gun where it comes out and push it down a bit.
Jun 18, 2006 2:02 pm - haha at least when ur playin, u can’t say "I’m not hit!" lol this sounds kinda fun, but im not sure if its a good idea for electric guns cuz it might fuck up the gears (from the salt) but sounds better for a spring shotgun cuz theyre usually more powerful anyways good idea 5* and faves
Any gun that cant puncture skin from farther than 10 feet is a waste of money
airsoft is illegal here so im lucky to get a 330 FPS shotgun , pellet guns are impossible to get so for me the most expensive gun it the only one able to puncture skin, so when you got the most expensive gun available in ur country, wouldnt you use damaged BBs in it?would you?
and putting the ammo at the tip of the barrel would make the BB roll inside the barrel if its the right size so it would be the same as loading it normally,or it will stay at the tip of the gun if it’s too big but barely and wouldnt get as much air pressure when you shoot and if it doesnt fit the barrel its probably also heavier then normal BB therefore also fly even slower.
i see no way to solve this
Jun 18, 2006 4:12 pm - Well if you cant get good guns where you live that sucks. But its not my fault, this is just my idea.
Just because you cant do it or wont do it doesn’t make it a bad egg.
Jun 18, 2006 4:15 pm - Maybe this isnt the perfect idea and has its flaws.
But no idea starts off perfect. If everyone that seen this gave there own ideas to improve this ammo could be a lot better. Instead of bein like OmFg N00bXors Teh So gay And your Nub -10 *’s LOLOLOXor.
Jun 19, 2006 6:17 am - yeah but i didnt insult you or anything, and i didnt say it was your problem i cant get really strong airsoft guns, i was just stating a fact that it isnt really a perfect idea, and i didnt call you a noob or rate you down,if i remember correctly i rated the egg 4* and i would be happy to give you a 5 if you make another egg and progress the idea a bit.
and btw i did give my idea of just filing down a normal bb and gluing the salt on it or using maybe a BB smaller then 6 mm.
Feb 18, 2007 7:02 pm - actually with a nice barrel the salt would scratch it... but its not like we’re shooting TM tightbores here, you should shoot your friends with that. this is cyma so who cares
