This powder glows in the dark and it smokes when you rub it together
what you need
1.book of paper matches with the cover
2.metal dish
3.lighter
4.anti burn work surface
ok first thing 2 do is tear of the scratchy strip on the book of matches
open up the book and place it match side down in the metal dish with the cover facing up
light the matchbook and let it burn itself out
wait untill it cools then rub your finger tip in the ash then rub them together it should start to smoke
go into a dark room and they should start to glow
Jun 26, 2006 7:31 am - it wont make white phosphorus because the only phosphorus that safety matches have is located on the sides of the match box as the striking strip, its red phosphorus but it can be turned to white phosphorus i guess, but it wouldnt because he wrote:

and yes, white phosphorus can cause cancer and rotting of the jaw to the point where it has to be removed to prevent it from spreading to the rest of the body,it happend to many workers in the match factorys about a century ago, thats why they stopped using white phosphorus.
