Jun 23, 2006 5:39 pm - If done right it makes tiny amounts of white phosphorus, which glows in the dark. It also causes your jaw to rot and fall off as well as causing permanent nerve damage. Have fun!

Jun 26, 2006 7:31 am - it wont make white phosphorus because the only phosphorus that safety matches have is located on the sides of the match box as the striking strip, its red phosphorus but it can be turned to white phosphorus i guess, but it wouldnt because he wrote: Quote: tear of the scratchy strip on the book of matches and yes, white phosphorus can cause cancer and rotting of the jaw to the point where it has to be removed to prevent it from spreading to the rest of the body,it happend to many workers in the match factorys about a century ago, thats why they stopped using white phosphorus.
