In this egg i will show you how to make a "survival spike". I made these a while back and found out how usefull they really are when i went camping. I’ve been 4 really good ones so far.

[Materials: ¤3mm diameter metal rod.
¤pliers
¤metal file
STEP 1 Take your metal rod and make a round loop at one end. Use your pliers to help you bend the wire. It also helps to hammer it around something round.
STEP 2 Once you have a loop at the end, get the metal file and start making a point at the non-looped end. Once the tip is finished you have your survival spike. Yep it was that simple.
Now what can you even use this for?
Fishing Spear: To make this is VERY simple. Simply attach a survival spike to a 6 foot wood pole. Once done simply use it to fish for your food. After fishing you can simply detach it and use the pole to make a shelter.
Tent Spike: Simply use this to secure your tent in rough winds. The reason this spike is good for it is because it is longer than most spikes and you can just add more and more for more strength.
Throwing Spike: Now this is a bit more complicated as there is a certain technick to throw them accurately. Take the loop in your index finger. Lift your hand above your head and let the spike turn upside down. Once that happens pull it downwards towards you target and once it is at your elbow height release your grip. This will cause it to spin.
