How to make 2 different types of ninja stars
Rapidfire - Friday July 14th, 2006
Basicly what I will be telling you today is how to make 2 different types of very effective ninja stars, one wooden and one paper. The paper one is a bit light so you could modify it to be heavier, but I don’t think you need to. The wooden one travels very far, and personally I like the wooden one better because it glides easier and is harder, therefore leaving more of a mark.
To make the wooden one, you must have a paper one made.
Making the paper star What you need:
One sheet of A4 paper
1 pair of scissors(we just ripped it)
Step One: Take the A4 sheet of paper and make it into a sqaure. Cut off the excess.
Step 2: Fold your square piece of paper in half. Cut it down the middle.
Step 3 Fold each piece of paper in half long-ways
Step 4 Leave the paper folded in half longways, but fold it in half length ways and then unfold it so it has a crease.
Step 5 Fold the corners up. If you fold the left hand side up and the right hand side down, On the other sheet, fold the left side down and the right side up so they’re opposite. You will be left with this
Step 6 Fold the sides up and down accordingly, Fold them the opposite way that you folded the corners. They should end up like 2 triangles on each piece of paper, and they should be in an S shape. If they aren’t turn them over.
Step 7 Flip one piece of paper over and put it down, Then put the one that looks like an S ontop like so
Step 8 Fold over the corners of the bottom sheet and tuck them under the top sheet
Step 9 Flip it over and do the same with the other side. Once you have finished this step, it should look like this
Step 10(The wooden one) All you need for this is a piece of thin wood a little bit bigger than your star. Put your star onto the wood and trace around it then cut out using a hacksaw. these are the finished stars
My wooden star is jaggered because when i tested it I tested on a rock.
