This egg will show you how to shoot paperclips from a rubber band. It is more effective than this way because it’s much easyer to shape the clips and it doesn’t flip (if you shoot it right).
What you’ll need
To make this shooter you will need:
A paperclip
A rubber band
A pair of plyers (optional)
It is best to use normal plyers but I could only find my poiny nosed ones.
What to do
Get your paperclip, and bend the inner coil up and out of the paper clip like so:
Then bend it fully out so you now have an S-shaped paperclip. It should look like this.
Hold on to each side of the paper clip and bent back and forth like so.
What this does it focuses tension on the paperclip’s weak point and eventually it breaks in half. You will be left with two pieces of paperclip, one slightly larger than the other.
Hold your rubber band between your index finger and your thumb so it forms a slingshot type thing.
Hold your paperclip peice down near the bottom on the longest side like this.
Load up the paperclip onto the rubber band like I am here, point at your target and fire away. Be sure to load the paperclip onto the rubber band thing furthest away for you to prevent it getting caught.
This is a hole I made in my plaster wall with this technique. The clip wont get stuck in the wall but just make a big dent.
If you are going to shoot someone, aim for their thigh as they hurt so fucking much there. I had a bruise on my leg from my friend doing it to me from 5 meters away through my jeans.
Also, I once shot through a soda can with a paperclip doing this. It went through one side and dented the other.
Just so you know, I put plyers on the "What you’ll need" list because you can do a lot of customization to the clips. You can squeeze the tip to a point (for extra pain/sharpness) and you can straighten up the sides with ease.
I know this is really simple but it’s very effective.

Plus it’s not like you have to have alot of wierd crap to do it.
Pics, explained well, the list goes on.
Jul 17, 2006 12:09 am - i already knew this, but i never tried it with the half S shaped thing which would probably work better because it wouldnt get caught in the paperclip so 5*
Jul 17, 2006 5:27 am - ^ lol dude I’m australian too and I use those wasps too. I find these are way more effective though. It’s fun to shoot them through exercise books...
Jul 17, 2006 8:30 am - omg, i remember making one of these when i was in year 2. but im not saying this idea is old because i was using it for years until i got into the more heavy slingshots. but im giving you a 5* because this egg brings back good memories
May 15, 2007 5:45 pm - I invented this at my school in middleschool and it got out of control, i dont know how nobody lost an eye
