On July 10th at 5pm I was dropped of at Spaulding Fibre. I easily squeezed my way through a gap in the gate and proceded to take pictures. Funny though, right when I got in I tried to turn my camera on it putted out. Luckily I had brought 2 extra batteries with me so I was back in buisness. I woulda been pissed as hell if I couldnt take pictures.

This place was huge! The property was 45 acres with many buildings. Many of the buildings were dilapidated to hell and in some parts the floor had fell in. That and I had 2 hours (Thats a very short time) to explore. I think I managed to capture its beauty within that time though.

Spaulding was builit in 1911 and it was closed in 1992. I have no idea what was manufactured inside of the place, nobody really does. She has sat idle since then. I was informed she was going to be deomolished July 17th so I skeedaddled on over there. To my knowledge I dont know if she was actually demolished.

Here are the pictures.

The sun fucked up this shot so I had to Adobe it, it looks like shit.

Now onto her insides:

H-Dogg, Im sure you could name this car. Please do ;)

As you can see, the place was falling apart:

Birds Nest:

Yes, this is me. I took this so you can believe that I actually go into these places, not just steal pictures off the internet.

What a great place to go scootin’ around!

Looks safe to sit up on and have a coffee break doesnt it?

Brew me up a cup.

These were order invoices. One of the years on the papers was 1982. I know the place closed down in 1992 because they had things posted around the fire system stating the date the fire system was shut down.

I was nervous as shit walking across this floor. Most of the flooring in the place was cement. It was about a 15 foot drop to the basement if I were to plummet through the floor.

My parting shot:

~Clegg

Please post comments on what you thought of the egg and the photography.

I’m going to guess Plymouth Volare, Dodge Dart, Chrysler Cordoba, possibly Chevrolet Nova.

And it looks like the Rolling Rock brewery will be operational, not abandoned at the end of the month.

This was a very nice egg; five stars for you.

Anyway, this plant made synthetic mica. In fibrous form, this is fiberglass, which can be molded into shapes. In a solid, machinable form, these are resistors, like insulator blocks for circuit board assemblies.

I am questionning the validity of these pics, looks lke C/P for me. The pics ain’t big, they are well photographed, and they aren’t thsame size. Also, it’s like you had abandonned stuff everywhere around your house. Otherwise, gj.
