This Egg will teach you how to make custom cardboard tubes for fireworks.
Materials and Tools:
Rectangular cardboard (TP rolls work too)
Pliars
Scissors
Tape
Step 1: Roll your piece of cardboard by hand first to get it used to the shape. Skip this step if you’re using a toilet paper roll.
Step 2: Grip the end that will be the center of the tube with the pliars. Now roll as tightly as you can.
Step 3: Now remove your pliars and tape the ends (or glue if you want a more professional looking tube) And you’re done.
This is just a side by side comparission of my tube on the left and a real one of the right.

 | Jul 29, 2006 7:36 am - Well his was a paper tube and I didn’t have the points to post this when I first made everything so :P |

 | Jul 29, 2006 8:13 am - It’d have more detail if I didn’t have to fear my computer would restart in the middle of the simplest activities. But I was pretty much just getting the feel of making an egg, so I really don’t care what this gets rated. |

 | Jul 29, 2006 9:00 am - 5* Good pics. |

 | Jul 29, 2006 9:42 am - 0* that sucked |
| Jul 29, 2006 10:45 am - Johnocide, if you’re afraid of loosing your work, write the Egg in Microsoft Word or Notepad.
Transfer it to the Egg for a preview every now and then just to check your work, that way if your browser crashes it won’t take your work with it.
3 ’s as I’m sure you’ll do even better next time! |
| Jul 29, 2006 11:53 am - it’s ight, 4*s. btw, what kind of firework is that on the right? fountain rocket or a firecracker? |

 | Jul 29, 2006 6:56 pm - 2 because anything will work for a tube |

 | Jul 30, 2006 12:50 am - Fountain. It was the only factory made firework I had left over from 4th of July. |

 | Jul 31, 2006 5:25 am - can anyone tell me if gun powder will explode by using a sparkler as a fuse |

 | Jul 31, 2006 9:47 am - I would imagine it’d work. Only thing is gunpowder just burns unless it packed in so a sparkler maybe thick for a fuse. |

 | Aug 02, 2006 5:51 pm - Good job 4* | |
