In this egg, i will explain how to Sight In your rifle scope.
Materials 1. Rifle & ammo
2. Large, open space
3. A gun nice
4. A paper or cardboard target
5. A screw driver
Procedure Set up your target. I used a paper bag with a wooden block in it.
Secure your weapon into the vice. I dont own a proper gun vice, so I clamped my gun in with paper towels to protect it from damage. Its raining outside so I set up the vice inside.
Get you target in the generic middle of the scope. if your gun is pointing at the target and the target is not in the scope, your screwed. Re-attach your scope.
Turn off the safety (if you were smart enough to put it on int the first place). Pull the trigger.
Look through you scope and see where the bullet hole piecerd the paper relative to the crosshairs.
Without moving the gun, adjust the crosshairs using a screwdriver. Put the crosshairs on the bullet hole.
Test your weapon a few times to make sure its accurate.

Aug 04, 2006 8:04 pm - Yeah, if you set up ur target at 15ft when u zero it, you wont be dead on when you aim at something 40ft away.Just something to keep in mind. 5* though good job

Sep 09, 2006 10:15 pm - so you went shooting in your basement with a rifle thats awesome 5 stars just for that lol i know how to do this cuz i have a feild scope and its basically the same thing just less costly cuz you dont shoot anything
