How to : Install Dev-hook on PSP.
First, this is not a c/p egg. I wrote this my self, and know what to do through trial and error. Now that I have that stated, lets begin.
What you need.
1. PSP
2. Dev-hook
3. at least 25mbs on your memcard
4. a downgrader if you are higher than 1.5
Ok we will deal with #4 first. Yes, it may be the last on the list but it’s the most important besides the PSP. You can go to[link] http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/35[/link] and find an entire crop of down graders. The highest you can go from is a 2.6 so if your higher, I’m sorry to tell you, but you wont be able to do anything at the moment.
After you get your downgrading needs accomplished, make sure you have at least 22, I know I said 25, but its always safe to have more. Go to[link] http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/673 [/link] and download the Dev-hook Ultimate Installer.
Once you have your PSP at firm-wear ver.1.5 and the installer, plug in your PSP and then run the Ultimate Installer. Select the drive for your PSP (mine is My computer\D:\ ) let it install (3-5 mins at the most) There ya go, now you have Devhook.
Now, you have a bunch of new folders and stuff in your psp. In the Root folder, (for me D:\) you will see an ISO folder. That’s for your bootlegs/backups of games. Only worry about that if you have those bootlegs or backups.
Now, to run devhook you go to Games, then the memcard and find devhook. Run it, and you will see a dos lookin window. Go down to firmwear hit o , hit o on 2.7 then hit triangle and go to where it says start. Hit circle on that and it will boot in to 2.7!!!
2.7, AAAAAll the capabilities of 2.7, with out the actual firm wear. Just turn off the psp and it goes to back to 1.5, also go to the games section then select memcard and “return to 1.5 from fw 2.XX”

Aug 20, 2006 6:54 pm - Larryi5 your a fuckin noob. a downgrader means 1.5, 1.5 means ANY FIRMWEAR (cept 2.8 at the moment) CAN BE ACCESSED, WHICH MEANS YOU CAN PLAY ANY FWs BOOTLEGS. Pluss i dont only play games with mine. I do other things u shouldnt be able to do. homebrew shit you knwo. but for that comment 0* in ur profile cuz i dont like dipshits.

My trial and error was normal devhook... Pluss im not just going to post a link, i dont wana be like some damn spammer. If you think its self explanitory good for you, but some noob wont get it. Not realy,Re is nothing exactly (in terms of catagories) its for everything.. most considered illegal or not of the norm, what is homebrew? 2% of psp users, out of the norm, i say yes. so stfu man, realy. And 2.71 has fuckin flash it can read the .swf format, i have Kenya, Badger badger badger and both Cements on there and they work perfectly.

Then use the return to 1.5 from 2.xx to get back to havin the ability to use homebrew. And i admit i am a noob at homebrew in general, but i know how to do shit. im not going to be like a stupid bitch and post gay shit about myspace or about how i got caught stealing shit, im going to post what i know about what i know. any way, if you dont like the egg, rate it down, leave your shitty comment, and go the fuck away.

Kinshinlink i put that there because it is always safe to have more room. One time i filled a memcard to capacity and it wouldnt let me format it, write over data, or anything at all. I brought it to gameshit and they replaced it, but still...
prosk8r712, its not only devhook, yea, thats all i went in deph with, but the mention of how to bootlegs,how to get to the golden firmwear, and all the other little shit. Yeah, i know its not my best egg, but still, i didnt see one on it and i posted it.. better than doing "omg i got bu5ted becau5e im a no000b and cant steal from 7/11" or some stupid shit like that, or a link to a shitty virus infested warez site. And, i hear that a project is underway to try to get a 2.7 to 2.6 downgrade. if they get that done, then you wont need a chip. but idk how their gona do it so dont ask me... If i get any news ill be sure to do a forum post or notify you.
