I searched and found no eggs on playing ps2 on the computer. Although i am quite sure most of you know how to, this is for novice people.Also NOTE very important THIS IS ONLY LEGAL IF YOU OWN A PS2 OR HOMEBREWED YOUR OWN BIOS FROM A PS2 AND ONLY IF YOU OWN THE GAME IN WHICH YOU PLAY ON THE EMULATOR!!!!! I GIVE YOU THE BIOS ONLY IF YOU OWN A PS2!!!! First off:
2. After you sucessfully installed it it will ask you for the computer to restart click yes. Im not really sure but after the restart I think it asks you for you username that you use in order for it to acess your virtual manager. What that means is your username that you use for Windows. IE: my name is Jonathan when I log in:
after you input that we move onto the next step.
3. You must open Pcsx2. (not pcsx2t thats for later)
go to configure. A screen like this should come up: I recommend putting it on the settings that i have, but feel free to use whichever please you or your computer. It should look exactly like that, except you have no bios. I recommend Zero’s graphics sets. After you set it up, you need to configure the grapics, see where it says configure... under graphics? click it and adjust to your liking. Don’t configure the cdvdrom just yet. Configure your controller for whatever your feel comfortable with:
4. now that thats out of the way we move to the bios. I have packaged the bios, and you can get them here (tell me if the link doesn’t work) once you click the link scroll down and go to free, click it and wait for the dowlnoad to begin. After sucessfully installing it go to where your pcsx2 folder is installed and extract (you need winrar to extract, donwload here inside the bios folder: This is what should be extracted from the package:
Go back to pscx2 configure, there should be a button labeled Set bios directory, click it. Double click the pcsx2 bios folder where you extracted the package. Now bios appear! click the drop down menu and select which ever you want, US(english),japan(japanese), europe(spanish). Click ok.
5. Now we want some games. sry but i can’t tell you how to get them >< but if you have a ps2 game, insert it into the computer. Then get poweriso! download here get the keygen heredo the same as like the bios packaging to download it. after you install poweriso sucessfully open the keygen. Put anything in the name, click generate and thats the code for poweriso. leave it open for now, don’t register just yet. Now with the cd in the computer, go to my computer and rightclick on where you see the game, click explore, you should see things like this (i already did this so i used isobuster to see whats inside the iso, just focus on the stuff there, not the program): now highlight them all, right click. Power iso should be there, click add to image file. it will ask you then to register poweriso if you want, put in the stuff from the keygen. After you do that it will say thank you for registering. It will ask where you want to save and what type you want (chose iso): click ok. now wait. when its finished move to next step.
6. phew almost done. Now go back to pcsx2, click config, then go to configure. click congifure...under cvdvdrom. This should come up: click select iso. Find the iso you just made. click ok. now your done!
7. click run then execute in the pcsx2 main window. try it with pcsx2t as well see what happens.

A: you have to burn to cd and click run cd in pcsx2 main menu.

Sep 04, 2006 2:06 pm - The BIOS is illegal to have regardless of whether or not you own a PS2. If you already own one, there’s absolutely no sense in running a game through an emulator at any fraction of the actual speed, as opposed to just burning the games and playing them on the actual PS2.

Sep 04, 2006 2:23 pm - well velvet i understand what you mean, but bios are legal if you extract them from your ps2, what were to happen if your ps2 broke? you can’t play it anymore, but if you homebrewed it to the computer you can play it there instead of buying a new one

the reason why is because you have to select run cd instead of execute if you use the ffx hack, also try pcsx2t

sry but there is no way without a modchip >< the only thing i can think of is using alcohol to burn a ps2 image email me to see how it goes, i can’t guarantee sucess
Sep 05, 2006 5:13 pm - *5 buddy i liked it, I knew most of it already, but i needed the bios, thx alot, however be careful the bios are just as copyrighted as the games are so handing them out aint legal. And all u neysayers on the developement thing need to visit the website for the emulator they have a huge database of games and it tells how well each works on the emulator so far.
