Keep in mind that this is for remedies that don’t include sleeping medication like Lunesta but it does contain information on Nyquil use, which is a cold medicine and is not intended to be used as a sleeping drug.
Soothing the five scenes
Touch/feeling-
When you’re hot on a summer night and you keep sweating.
- Take a very hot shower. As hot as you can tolerate the temp. Then dry off thoroughly. The evaporating water will take some of the heat off your skin and stop the hot feeling inside you. And the water will leave you skin feeling smooth like when you come home from the pool and when you rub your feet on the carpet its like an orgasm in your toes.
- Put deodorant on every part of your body that sweats.
- If you have an AC vent over your bed then vent it toward you. The go to your thermostat an turn it down a few.
- And if you don’t have an AC vent over your bed then turn on the fan the speed of your choosing.
Hearing-
Blocking out the sound
- ear plugs
- tie a sock or a piece of cloth around the knobs of the door so when people open doors in that hallway outside your room the pressure wont slam your door into the framing.( I don’t know about your house but this happens a lot at mine).
Whit Noise
- Listen to soft calming music like Tom Petty or the Beetles to soothe the mind and send you into dreamland.
- This may be odd but Louis Black has a voice that just makes you want to fall asleep. Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s funny, but his voice is a white noise to me.
Taste-
- Brush or rinse your mouth to leave your mouth feeling fresh and not like the burger you ate last night.
- Keep a glass of cool water near your bed so when your mouth is dry from morning breath you’ll have something to drink (morning breath doesn’t always occur in the morning).
Sight-
- Use dark curtains and shades to block out the morning light.
Smell-
- This is also odd. Get a fragrance that reminds you of someone who makes you feel warm and cozy inside. When I was young my mother wore a certain perfume and whenever I smelled that I knew she was there to comfort me. So that sent has a calming effect on me. So take the fragrance of your choice and spray once onto your pillow. During the night you will smell it and it will cause you to think of soothing thoughts.
Other insomnia treatments-
If your hot put you pillow in the freezer for 15 minute to cool your head while you sleep.
Take double the recommended amount of Nyquil.
Eat a lot of dairy or fruit byproducts. Make a smoothie with milk, yogurt, bananas, strawberries, and whole cream.
Work out, take a shower, and sleep.
Blow your nose or ware one of those nose bandages that open up your nostrils to help you breathe.
Flip your mattress for more comfort.
Masturbate. This makes the body and mind feel a state of relaxation. It makes you feel that the only thing you want to do is sleep.
Eat turkey. |

Alot of work but alot of spelling mistakes i wd give you a 3.5 but...there isnt one so 4*:P |
