How To Riffle Cards Written by Me (-Battery-)
Introduction Riffling cards have played a huge part in the display of card magic and card games, it is simply to impress and attract people and give that last little magical tutch.It can also be something to eat up time.
I have split this egg in to 3 parts
1:Setup
2:Doing The Riffle
3:Catching The Riffle
4:Advanceing
If you follow through these steps and keep practicing you will soon be on your way to do that all famouse riffle.
1:Setup
1:You will require One deck of cards.
2:To make it easier on riffling i recommend a new deck of cards or a slippery deck, Before you begin shuffle the cards a few times to un-stick sticky cards.
2:Doing The Riffle
1:How the deck of cards in-between your Thumb and 4 fingers. Bend the cards inwards NOT out wards. Many people think to bend them out, its not, it is inwards.

2:Now, To begin with find a flat surface with some thing in front of you to stop the cards flying every were.
3:Jently push your thumb towards your 4 fingers a tiny bit and move your 4 fingers up a little bit. You should be able to feel the cards wanting to slip away, Good, keep pushing your thumb.
You should end up doing this.
This is a video of the cards slipping away.
In that video you can also see how my fingers move upwards and in the end are straight.
Keep practicing this until you are comfortable to catch the riffle.
3:Catching The Riffle
To catch the riffle you need to have your hands in a certain position to A: Stop the cards from flying off and B: Keep the cards after you have finished.
My recommendations are as followed, you may find it easier to discover your own way of catching the cards.
1:Hold your hand out in front and below the cards, predict how much force you will put in to the riffle and were the cards will go.
2:Hold you hand like you are holding a rugby ball, not exactly rounded but almost

It may help to put the deck of cards in your hand if you are a beginner just to get a feel of how to position you hand. As you advance and get use to the position etc you will not need to do this.
See how my figers and thumb stop the cards from falling off on the front and left side.
3:To stop the cards from falling off on the right side when riffling aim at an angle in to the top left corner of your hand.

You can see how in the second part of that video a couple of cards go crazy but my fingers stopped them.
When you have managed to get this far keep practicing then move on.
4:Advanceing On TV or shows you have been to you see how they can riffle from a long way to the catch, to do this takes time.
1:Start off close to your catching hand and move your riffle hand away. Keep repeating this until you start to drop the cards.
2:When you have started to drop the cards its tim to go back to basics and practice alot more on catching and most importantly control.
Yes, Control is the key to riffling.
Notes It is easier to riffle cards with a slippery pack, if you don’t have some then go buy a new pack or lay the cards down on a flat surface to unstuck.

Sep 15, 2006 11:42 am - Im so sick of these magic eggs. For one thing i am a magician and i truly dont like you revealing the secrets to many tricks. Second of all you are not gonna learn how to fucking do magic by a goddamn online tutorial! For example this trick took me a month to learn. you have to learn basics you can just pick it up online and be a master magician. STOP!

People don’t understand that once everyone knows the trick it loses its effect, then tricks have to get more complex to impress people. More complex means harder to learn. So if you really wanna help people give it a break witht he magic eggs. this was actually good egg, i dont mind seeing stuff like this just keep what i said in mind.4*

i have only posted 1 how-to magic trick, this isnt a trick, just a effect
the other egg can be learned anywere, its simply a shuffle.
It isnt like im telling them how to do tons of other tricks, which i can do, but i havnt.
Im not an idiot, i know what and what not to keep a secret.
