I’m not a church-going person although I do believe in God. I’m not caught up in the "images on toast", etc. that pop up every so often. I am a realist for the most part. This occurence had so many unexplainable things involved that I thought it deserved some merit. I’ll try to explain as I go along, if ANYONE was there that day (late May 2006) in Niagara Falls, N.Y. and have any pics, please let me know.
This was a journey on the "Maid of the Mist" ride where you are taken via boat close to the base of Niagara falls. A breathtaking adventure by itself, but what was seen that day by all on the boat is a mystery.
Everyone who used a digital camera to take pictures of "the Maid" or "the Madonna" or the "phenomena" had a static-like image instead of a picture. This included digital video as well as digital stills. Only the pictures my wife took with her 35mm developed the image. I hope someone else had a 35mm that day as well.
I’ve circled the image and some other things to comment on and made a 2nd picture using the over-exposure setting on my photo program to darken the image. You judge for yourself.
This 1st picture was when people were commenting on the "Maid" and "Madonna" in the clouds.
The circle above had an image and the man below was trying to figure out why his digital camera didn’t take a picture of it, only "static".
By this time everyone was looking at the image, commenting that it was either the Indian Maiden or the Madonna/Madonna with Child.
The man circled on the right had a static-like picture, too and was looking at it puzzled.
In this 3rd picture the boat was transfixed, even the pilot who was watching the image and instead of stopping, kept the boat running and into the mist so deep that he had to put it in reverse to get us out to look for the image again. He is on the low right and swore that he had never seen anything like that in 20 years of piloting the boat.
People were snapping pictures as you can see in some circled, most all could not believe how "real" it looked. These pictures don’t do justice to the 3-d effect of the image.
I scanned these photos after they were developed so they are not as good a quality as a digital. Below are the "darkened" versions of all three.
Exploring the falls turned into exploring a mystery. I do not know what to think of the image in the sky. Many thought it was the Madonna, many thought it was the Indian Maiden who was sacrificed over the falls (according to legend) but one thing was clear, EVERYONE agreed that this was not some random formation of cloud, mist and sky that day.

lol wow, you damn yanks...OMG I know what it is, it was al qaeda planning terrorist attacks on the U.S. Reason why there might have been static pics: The electrical generation plant, solar flares, magnetic disturbances most likely of all, you don’t know how to work a camera. |

For Xfusion- My digital cam and everybody who had one onboard all showed a statc-covered pic. So, we all wondered if perhaps the waterfall was causing static electricity in the air, affecting the cams. The pilot/guide said "No". Many people use them and this was the first time this had happened.
I think I know how to use a camera, thank you and so did all the other tourists that day. As for people "looking". Do you think real life has a freeze frame for eternity? Try to get any crowd staring at the same object to look at it constantly. Can’t do it, huh? People move, but thanks for all the effort in trying to do whatever it was you did with this egg....lol
Guess it was worth it, got at least one person wondering, etc. about the phenomonae. LOL!
And yes, I did check online and at a camera store AFTER getting back home. The store owner said an EMF field could cause that on everyone’s camera, but what caused the EMF-he didn’t know. |

Like I said in the egg itself, I don’t believe in those "image on toast" things as they are explained away. I did say that everyone there saw something that "pictures didn’t do justice to"- guess you had to be there to see it in 3-d instead of 2-d. Some may see something, some may not-it’s all in each other’s eyes. I just thought it was an interesting occurrence to make as an exploration egg. Got tired of "How to make a pencil write" and eggs like that. |

They are pictures of clouds?? I live 20 minutes from the Falls and I’ve never heard or seen anything like this.
