Well on September 3rd, 2006 I had nothing better to do with my time so I went to the store with my mom and sister. I had an alternative motive other then to get clothing so I brought my digital camera along.
After I got what I needed (Under 7 minutes easily; I dont shop) I headed outside, smoked a cigaratte and went back in.
I just walked to the back of the store, found the employee only doors and just walked on in like I owned the place.

This is a different form of Urban Exploration. As you can see from my other eggs I have a knack for going into abandoned places to photograph urban decay. This is quite different from that sort of. This falls into the catergory of "Infiltration"; the art of going into active buildings to see what is beyond the "Employee Only" doors. Infiltration is much more of a thrill then UE with the greater chance of getting caught.

Now before I get asked the question of "Did you take anything", the answer is NO! Im not some jackass little kid with the need to steal. Your a fucking dumbass if you walk into the backrooms of these stores and actually steal shit, go for it, you will be caught in a short period of time. I didnt steal or damage a thing, I just snuck around like a ninja.
Now onto the pictures!

Now there was a female employee working some clothing pulley system so I had to wait for her ass to leave before I could go upstairs. Sorry fellas, no pictures of her, Im no voyer photographer.

The clothing line conveyer/pulley thing? I thought it was pretty cool.
These were plain fucking weird. Both were nekkid!

Usually, I find exploration eggs gay. This one was the exception, break into area 51 for you’re next one, this one was awesome because of the risk factor. |

Five stars for you, Grasshopper.
The back of that store is a lot nicer than the rat’s nest that was Hill’s. In the brief time I was there, the trash compactor broke twice, which resulted in a huge mound of rotting garbage on the floor in front of the trash compactor. I should have called the fire marshall after I quit, and they’d have been fined, as they were blocking a fire exit.
The easiest infiltrations are in the bowels of your nearest shopping mall. Everyone there will assume you’re an employee of someplace within the mall.
Anyway, Kohl’s planted their ugly feet in Pennsylvania a few years ago, and built dozens of new stores. Most of Pennsylvania defies development, as there are so many hills. One Kohl’s is built on fill, with a 50-foot dry stack retaining wall trying to hold it all in. I call it "The Great Wall Of Kohl’s", and the wall has collapsed at least twice. I’m waiting for Kohl’s to abandon Pennsylvania, so I can tell people I never set foot inside a Kohl’s. |
