Effect
a round for your potato gun that will expolde on impacd or have a time delay explosion. the explosion will fling plaster and bbs
Materials
Plaster
black powder
bbs
pop its and strike anywhere match heads
flexible cardboard (from gift boxes at belks or something)
duct tape
high quality fuse (if you can find it waterproof fuse)
Procedure
1)mix up about 3 cups of plaster per round
2)roll carboard into circle matching the diameter of your barrel then tape it in place
3)fill up your cardboard tube about 4 inches with liquid plaster
4)let dry
5) drill about a one inch hole down the center of the plastter but leave about a half inch at the bottom
6) stick a long fuse down the hole then drop about half an inch of bbs in
7)alternate between putting black powder and bbs down the hole till you have about an inch leftand a few inches of fuse
After this step you have two options the first is sure to go off but will be a delayed explosion and if your gun fails it could explode in your barrel the second will explode on impact if proprerly assembled
option 1
8)fill the rest of the hole with plaster making sur you have about 30 sec of fuse left
9) let the plaster dry
10) light fuse, load, and shoot cannon
option 2
8)top off the hole with pop its and matchheads so it overflows about half an inch
9)cover the popits and matchheads with a layer of duct tape (there does not have to be fuse sticking out of the duct tape but it should be in with the pop its and match heads)
10)load, fire gun (make sure to hit something hard so as to ignite the pop its and match heads)
NOTE: this is dangerous and if doing option one make sur to have a place to hide if the spud gun doesnt fire

Sep 29, 2006 3:18 pm - Why are you putting BBS in an "exploding round"? That is fucking stupid, one of those BBs can hit some little girl/boy and blind them for the rest of their life. You could use other things than bbs, I think they’re there for the weight, right? I like how you’re using cardboard for the casing of it. Some people try to use PVC/CPVC piping for that. Also, if it is to tight, put 1 layer of scotch tape and smear some vaseline on it so it can slide down the barrle better. 3*S
Oct 01, 2006 1:38 pm - bbs are for cool effect anyways youre not gonna shoot this at a little girl or boy you shoot in in the woods away from people and cops you use cardboard so you can just roll it off the plaster instead of having to breake it out of a piece of pvc
Dec 24, 2006 8:45 am - Looks cool.... I’d be nervous with a fuse in the barrel... I like the strike anywhere idea... I think leaving it in the cardboard will help keep it intact on impact.. If it shatters, and there’s a time delay, it’ll just flare... Decent egg... 4*
