On Tuesday my brother and I went to Elkhorn Creek in Frankfort Kentucky. The water level on the creek was higher than we had ever rafted it at before, which was about 2000 cubic feet of water per second.
These whitewater photos were taken at one section of rapids called S-turn. The very edge of the creek actually flows backwards, making it easy to re-run the section of rapids over and over, and take pictures while doing it.

We stopped for lunch and took some photos at the gorge
My brother merged a bunch of photos to make a panoram of the gorge

actually he didn’t use a tripod or anything to take the pics. He just used photoshop to merge them all together. He said he had to do a lot of resizing and re-coloring to make them line up good. |

 | Sep 28, 2006 2:56 pm - Damn that looks so fun, i wish ilived where you did, theres no rapids here... |

the water depth varies in places. sometimes you get to places where the depth could easily be 15-20 feet, but over top of the whitewater rapids it was probably 2-6 feet deep. |
