this is a very simple distance detinotor that can be used to set of bombs and such from a large distance away. note that it is not remote and has wires leading to the item being lighten.
materials:
fine steel wool
2 lengths of fairly thick wire (any length)
9 vault battery (torch battery)
method:
this is very simple. all you have to do is get your battery and hookup one of the pieces of wire to it. next lay the steel wool next to your bomb (or what ever you are using) with the fuse laying in it. firmly attach both pieces of wire to the steel wool but make sure that they are not touching because the steel wool is meant to complete the electrical circut.
now all you have to do is hook up the remaining end of wire the the battery and the steel wool should glow red hot and set the fuse of.
Sep 29, 2006 6:25 pm - they showed this on survivalman...it the batter heats the steel and the steel wool catches on fire and the fuse lights and boom...ill give it a 4 because you had a pic and its also a good idea if you have something with a short fuse
Sep 30, 2006 6:34 pm - first off its "volt" and second this doesn’t work. the wire can’t be long enough to make it usefull. you might as well light and throw (the battery doesn’t have enought amps). 0
