ok, might as well get all of the bullshit out of the way before I get started: woot, first egg etc.
GUIDE TO FREE MUSIC:
1. RAIPDSHARE METHOD
(i).Open Google, type ’Rapidshare’ or ’Megaupload’ followed by the name of the band/album/song.
(ii). You should get a list of pages. If you get lucky like I just did, you’ll get a working link on the first page. click on ’cached’
(iii). Scroll down to where the links are. (this is why ’cached’ is useful) (there usually aren’t this many links, usually just1 or 2)
Be sure to note the password, if their is one.
(iv). Highlight the first link and open it in a new browser. (I’m not going to explain how to use megaupload or rapidshare, you can easily find this out elsewhere) Download first file.
(v). When you have downloaded the first file, you will encounter Rapidshare’s download limit. To get around this, you must:
(a). Go to: tools>internet options>delete cookies.
(b). Renew our IP address. To do this, simply open Notepad and type the following:
Save it as Something.bat (you can now use this file to renew your IP address.) Rapidshare will now think you are a different computer and the download limit will be lifted.
(vi). Download all files and unzip them into your music folder. This method works best for full albums. (It will also work for movies, ebooks, apps etc.)
2. WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER METHOD
(i). Open Windows Media Player and select the ’Media Guide’ tab.
(ii). In the bar, type in the name of the song or artist you want. Click ’search’
(iii). A list of songs should come up. Scroll down until you find the song you want.
(iv). Click on ’play’ just below the song title. The song will begin playing (sic)
(v). When the song has finished loading, click on File>Save Media As... you can now save the song to your music folder.
3. G2P METHOD
(i). Simply go to www.g2p.org, type in the song or artist title in the box and select ’go’
(ii). You will get a list of websites usually titled ’INDEX OF/’ in these, there will be lists of MP3 song files
(iii). Just right click on the song you want and select ’save target as’
4. WAREZ SITES METHOD
(i). Heres are some good mp3 sites:
www.mp3shits.com
www.mp3arena.com
www.emp3world.com
There are also other methods such as torrents, but I am not very farmiliar with these, so I have not included them.
Oct 08, 2006 10:34 am - ipcfg IP renew will not work for most people... Anyone using a router with a dynamic IP can do it from the router’s settings, or if you’ve got a static IP you need a proxy that’s the only way arround it...
