In this egg I will explain how to change your WinXP desktop skins/themes
First off you need to download the skins and patcher from Here (file size: 41.02 MB) and you will need WinRAR to extract it.
Patching The "uxtheme.dll" File
After you extract the files you will need to run the patcher.
click "Patch"
Click "Cancel" on the first box then ""OK"
Then click "OK" to restart...See you again soon!
Installing The Theme
Pick a theme, the .zip files dont have an installation file. You just need to manualy unpack them to,
C:\\WINDOWS\\Resources\\Themes\\
With the ones that have an installation file just open them and install.
Click "Accept"
Click "Install"
Now you just need to pick the newly installed theme. When the box pops up just click the circled arrow and find the new theme, click it then click apply. Wait and then look at your new theme.

Ok, im lost after the first step cause theres no icon on the desktop for it, nothing comes up after i restart my laptop, and the farthest it allows me to go is the first step |
