In this egg I will explain how to use Desktop X to fully customize your desktop!
Enjoy!
First off you will need the full version of Desktop X. You can get it from Here (file size: 13MB) and to extract the file you will just need WinRAR. Once the files are downloaded, continue reading.
Install WinRAR, if you dont already have it that is and run the Desktop X installation file. When prompted for the key/serial just run the keygen and generate a key for Desktop X Pro.
When its installed run Desktop X Builder. Open it up in a main window, you should see the same thing, just difernt colours unless you have the same theme installed.
Import either an object or a widget, Im going to import this one. Click "Import Object" and browse for it. Import it and it should appear on the desktop.
It should look like this...
You can do many things with these animated folders, Im going to make the red one into a shorcut for Mozilla FireFox. Right click it and click "Set Target..." Select the "File Shortcut" box and browse for Mozilla FireFox. The default location should be C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla Firefox\\firefox.exe (if you want just c/p that into the text box.)
Then just click "OK"
Next you will need to label it, right click the folder and go to "Properties" then just re name it. It should look like this...
Click "Apply" You now have a groovy shortcut for FireFox. To make a folder shortcut just dont click "File Shortcut" and leave it as a "Folder Shortcut" then browse for the folder you want. Just have a play around with the properties and stuff and you can do ALOT with those folders.
Also included in the program is other useful shit, like Stickys.
Go to "Import an Object" and scroll down the the stickys. Just click the yellow box and make a sticky note for your desktop! There is so much stuff you can add to your desktop, they also have a few games too!
Here is a screenshot of my desktop with just a few of the default stuff added! Sorry about the stretch!
For objects, widgets and themes go to these sites, search for what you want and download it!
