How To Have Your Computer Collect Your Eggpoint Interest For You By Infectious-MD
This egg is an informational how to on how to have your computer automatically collect your egg point interest points for you, even while you’re on vacation.
This guide shows you using firefox and Windows XP but you don’t need to be using those.
For those who already know how to do this, set your homepage to RE and skip to number 2
Steps: a. Click Tools -> Options -> General
b. Type in http://www.rotteneggs.com for your homepage
(No pictures for this step because i assumed everyone knows how to set their homepage)

2. Changing Your Startup Programs
This step is optional, and will set it to start firefox when you start your computer (therefore collecting interest). Once again this step is optional
Steps: a. Right Click your "Start" button (in my case a red dot with two arrows) and choose explore (see pic below)
b. Programs -> Startup
c. Find your internet icon (my case firefox) and copy it (see pic below)
d. Paste it into your "Startup" folder
Now, every time you start your computer, your computer will run firefox, go to your homepage (RE), and collect your interest.

3. Setting Up 12Ghosts (the program) to collect your interest for you
12Ghosts is a program which contains 12 quite useful programs, but for this egg, you will only be using the timer ghost.
d. Set your settings how you would like them, here is a picture of what my settings look like (pic below)
e. Here you can see i automatically view RE and collect my interest points every day at 3:28 PM (it will update in 1 minute after the time from the picture)
So there you go, follow the directions and you can earn your interest points every day even while your away or too busy to go on RE. While this may not affect lower level members, wait until you build up your egg points.
Oct 16, 2006 4:56 pm - If your going to do this I suggest solely downloading the timer application(they are all avaliable for individual download) as to avoid clutter. But otheriwise 5*’s great idea, well written egg and will be very helpful as I am going to be on vaction soon.

you need to earn points in order for your egg point interest to amount to something worthwhile. You have 59 egg points, so your egg point interest is probably 1. The people who have already earned a lot of egg points will get more from this egg, not the people just starting out who are looking for a way to cheat and get easy eggpoints
