Turn your photo into something retro looking.
1. Open your photo for editing. Resize (Image> Image Size) to the size you like. We will be using Fear and Loathing.

2. Duplicate this layer (Ctrl+J) and change the blending mode of the duplicated layer to luminosity.

3. Invert the colors of the top layer so it looks like:

4. Reduce the opacity of this layer to 50%

5. Press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+E to create a new layer and delete Layer 1.
6. Now you must duplicate the original background layer and move this layer to the top. Change the blending mode of this new layer to multiply.
7. Select the top layer and open the Threshold tool under Image and then under Adjustments. You can drag the slider to adjust the effect. I just kept it on the default 128.

8. Now you must select the middle layer and increase the saturation. (Ctrl+U) Change it to whatever suits you. I chose +45.

Oct 27, 2006 4:27 pm - great movie, though my bootleg kept cutting out once it got to the part where they were at the hotel/casino and the one guy was so fucked up on acid he thought that chick was a frog or a fish, cant remeber lol. But, theres a simple filter for this in paintshop, probly works in ps too...
