Chapter 1
Images are 320-240 size
This is part two of the survival egg. Part one can be found here
Before I start I just want to say, this is not animal cruelty. I did not test the trap on animals (I used myself) and dismantled the traps after I had taken pictures of them. In this egg i will show you how to make a simple but useful trap using easy to find equipment
First of all you will need to collect you’re equipment
You will need 5 to 10 bamboo sticks or any other type of long flimsy branch
A spade
A wooded area where you see what you’re aiming to catch frequently…
With easy to dig soft mud
Now you have you’re equipment its time to start. Using the bamboo sticks make a square as big as you want you’re trap to be. (Depending on what you want to trap)
Now start digging! (I got loads of friends over you didn’t have anything better to do)
Until you have something that looks this
Remember, the hole must be dug sloping like this / \\
Now lay the sticks across so when something steps on it, it would fall in
Start to lay dead tree leaves across the bamboo….
….so it forms a type of layer that you can scatter more leaves on top from the surrounding area
Get a bucket of soil that you got from digging the hole
And scatter that over
Now to finish it of add more leaves again from the surrounding area
-Bait-
Bait is depending on what you want to catch. So if you want to catch a fox you might want to use bread.
A video of my friend jumping in the trap, it was before we went trick or treating on Halloween and it was dark so you’ll have to look closely
Nov 06, 2006 2:01 pm - Nice Egg 5*’s. but it seems that a squirrel wouldn’t
weigh enough to fall through. Is this more like a
larger animal trap or has it worked on smaller game ?
Nov 10, 2006 7:00 am - your first hole is differnt to your second?????how come and ye its good detail so 4* cause the picture is of a differnt hole maybe someone else showed you the trap so you took a pic of there work or somthing!!
Nov 13, 2006 1:27 pm - meh... This is a good explanation........but,
on’t title this "Survival"
The reason being: no way in hell are you going to find a shovel and those sticks (that look exactly like that) in the wild. Unless you crashed somewhere on shore with a boat full of that crap. I would recommend next time using realistic materials in a survival situation.

i understand your point fully
but you could easily substitute the bamboo sticks for other sticks and digging a hole isnt that hard
but i do know what you mean :)
and as for you TheDuckTapeKing...
