In this egg I will teach you basic infantry formations and tactics used by many Military forces. These can be used for Scenario Paintball and Airsoft.
1. Infantry Square
Five or more men are needed for the infantry square, the concept of the infantry square is to form a
hollow square using preferably two or more men on every side of the square, but if you are using a small team you can use one man per side.
If you are using five men, place one man on each side of the square and have the fifth man rotate between corners, if you have six men, have two men rotate between two corners so no corner is unprotected for more than a minute. As your enemy is charging/advancing, wait until they are about thirty to forty feet out, as to give you and your team as much of a chance as possible to eliminate the enemy force. If the enemy masses at a particular side or corner of the square have your men direct their fire towards that side/corner as to effectively keep the square protected.
2. V-Formation
Three or more men are needed for the V-Formation, the concept of the V-Formation is to form an upside down triangle while moving from one place to another. This is vulnerable to attack from the rear, so have the man that is at the point of the upside down triangle, often check the area to the rear of the column while moving, to ensure the security of the V.
3. Column Formation
The column formation is the most basic formation to use while advancing, it consists of men walking in a line, with the men on the left and right ends facing out diagonally.
Have two or more men regularly check the rear to protect your column from ambush. There is not much more to say about the column formation.
4. Tank Hunting
In paintall scenario games you may encounter a paintball tank. These behemoths can and will inflict terrible damage on you and your team. If your team has a JCS Rocket launcher you will need to take your whole team except for two men, and move to a position directly across or behind and across your launcher team. Load up your launcher and when the tank is in sight, have the decoy team open fire on the tank, drawing fire and attention away from the launcher team. When the tank is in range of the launcher/launcher team have them destroy the tank.
If your team does not have a JCS Rocket launcher, and it is working with a team that does have one, the strategy stays pretty much the same, except your whole team will be a decoy to draw fire from the tank while your ally destroys the tank.
4. Siege
If you encounter an enemy "camping out" in a bunker you will need to flush him out. This tactic (to my knowledge) is not used by any military force. If your team has invested money in paint grenades rain paint grenades on their position until you have either eliminated them, or flushed them out, which gives you the chance to tag them thus eliminating them from the game.
5. Defense of Fortified/Fixed Position/Objective
Firstly, plant landmines around the perimeter of your position about 110 or 120 feet out from your Fortified/Fixed Position/Objective, do not use step mines, use trip mines as the enemy has a better chance of busting a ten foot long trip wire than stepping on a two square inch piece of metal and activating the mine.
Dig in around the Fortified/Fixed Position/Objective in either the infantry square (see above) or a normal circle. Place scouts or easily hidden team members throughout the area about fifty to sixty yards out from your Fortified/Fixed Position/Objective and have them give you a SitRep every fifteen to thirty minutes, or whenever they spot the enemy team. Emphasize to them the importance of not giving away their position or firing upon the team. Whenever the enemy team has moved within fifty to a hundred feet out open fire on them from your Fortified/Fixed Position/Objective and then have your snipers or easily hidden team members turn back and open fire on the enemy team from the rear while being careful not to fire upon your position.
6. Notes
Your selection of cover also has a major play in all of this, if you do not utilize what cover you have, the chances of you being eliminated are great. If you have time, or you are on defense, scope out your cover and make sure that if you need to retreat that there are places of cover on your retreating route. Also when playing woodsball, wear camouflage that fits your surroundings and/or season, for example if there are pine trees nearby, get some pine needles and stick them in your mask. Do the same with any tall grass if you are in a field. Or if you have the money, you may get a ghillie gun rag or a ghillie suit that fits your surroundings. If it is snowing wear white clothing and warmer clothing. Always wear a good set of gloves, and make sure that your top is long-sleeved so you can go prone even in the roughest areas.

no you suck, not everyone buys "$800" guns, only tourney players because to be the best you have to have the best. And wtf do you mean my buy lanes? You shoot lanes, not buy them unless you buy the field then thus "buying lanes". You dont know shit about speedball.

first off you didnt state that you were talking about a razorback tank, and you sounded newbish by asking i dont know what one looks like. I know what lanes are u fucktard. You can "burn" them or shoot them, same thing.
Quote:
just buys $800 guns and lanes.
And this part is where i was fucking talking about. Not what lanes are but why the fuck did you put lanes in that sentence. Also not everyone does 20bps, and its not a rule you have to do 20bps to lane shoot. Its not my fault all of your friends are spoiled little bitch newbs who get mom and dad to get you everything, some people actually WORK for their shit, so dont come to me saying i dont know shit about paintball.
Nov 15, 2006 6:47 pm - dude i know what u mean. I hate the ppl who spend all that money on paintball. Thats why I refuse to upgrade. Im trying to get into stock class paintball now.. and btw he never said anything about a razor back tank in his egg he just said tank..

2. Use the Stacker STool to make three blocks of 5 cinderblocks each, as seen below. You could also stack them manually with the physgun and a corner.
3. Pick one of the blocks to be the ’scanner block’. Along the longest side of these blocks, put a ranger on each block. There should be a total of 5 rangers. Make sure that "Output Color" is set to on. Set the range to about 30.
4. If you have the expression gate, create five gates with the following code
CODE
N@Four-Input Multiplexer
I@R G B A
O@Signal
Signal = (R*1000000000)+ 0;G*1000000)+(B*10 0)+A
5. Connect the inputs of each of the expression gates to the color outputs of each of the rangers.
IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE EXPRESSION GATE:
Connect gates in such a manner that it multiplies the Red output of each ranger by 1,000,000,000; the Green output by 1,000,000; the Blue output by 1,000; and the Alpha by 1. Now add these four values together. The output of these gates is identical to the output of that expression gate. Now create four more of these circuits.
6. Create a button. Toggle is set to ’Off’; On Value is 1; Off Value is 0.
7. Create five D-Latches. Connect the Data inputs of each to each expression gate output; or the final add gate from each of the non-expression gate circuits. Now connect the ’Clk’ input to the button.
8. Create five Equals gates. Input A: Expression gate; or final input of non-expression gate circuit. Input B: D-Latch
9. Create an ’And’ gate. Connect it to each of the Equals gates.
10. Create your output device. I simply used Indicators, but you could set it up to a an automatic door, a turret, or whatever. Link it to the And gate.
11. Weld or freeze the scanner in place. Weld or freeze one of the other sets of cinderblocks below it.
12. Now color the remaining set of blocks. Use whatever colors you want. You could even make them invisible or translucent. This will be the "barcode block"
13. Put the barcode block in the scanner. Make sure that the rangers’ beams are touching the blocks. Press the button. This sets the scanner to accept Your output device should activate; in this case the indicators turn green. Pull the barcode out of the scanner. Your output device should deactivate; in this case the indicators turn red again. Note that if you put the barcode in backwards, it will not be recognized. If, for some reason, you want to set the scanner to another barcode, simply put that barcode under the scanner and press the button.
14. If you do not want your scanner to be reset to another barcode, remove the button.
15. When the barcode is under the scanners, the output should be triggered. When the barcode is not under the scanners, the output should not be triggered.
