This tutorial will teach you how to make a simple and cool avatar using Imageready.
Shit you need:
Video Clip
Imageready
(If you don’t have it, look at the bottom for possible ways of getting it!)
Open Imageready and the go to open, open your clip and you’ll see a screen like this:
Click "Slelected Range Only", then hold down SHIFT and click on the seek bar once then again to a spot you think is good. Click "ok".
This will shorten the clip to only the parts you want to use on your avatar.
Now you only have a few simple steps to complete your avatar:
First-Delete all the extra frames. Click the frame you want to delete and then click the trash can on the animation window.
Second-Fix the frame delay. Double click the numbers underneath the frame thumbnail. This will be the most tireing part of making the avatar.
Third-Add some text(your name) to keep noobs from taking it and being nooby with it. To do this, press Ctrl+A to select all the frames and then use the type tool on any frame. It should show up on all the frames.
Fourth-Crop and resize it so that it is 110x110(RE size limit). To crop it, just simply use the crop tool and to resize it go to Image and then go down to Image Size make it the RE limit and close it.
Fifth-Finally it’s tiome to save it, go to file and then "save optimized as" click that and save it as a gif.

Go to Image, and then go down to image size and change the height to 110px. The height because that is more important than the width, and IMageready has it so the image is constrainted(If one size changes the other will change and It’ll keep the image from looking too tall or too wide).
Nov 18, 2006 2:38 pm - Maje the frames a little shorter and Jesse you can’t post images unti ou are at level two, sucks for you because spammers ruined it for the level ones.
