Ok I was bored and decided to do a small somewhat crappy U/E. It’s more of a teaser for my upcoming explorations but, I felt like throwing in the church first.
Ok some info first
I live in a small village in the uk called hibaldstow.
This is my local church... I dont go there (like for services/sermons ) but I like to walk through it. Its about a 5 min walk from my house.
from wiki.
The name ’Hibaldstow’ comes from Old English Hygebald+stow, for "holy place where St. Hygebald is buried". From 1066-87 the village was referred to as "Hibaldestowa"...
Useless I know but meh anyway the pics.
View from the street.
another one.
I then entered through a gate. (just off the left of them pics)
Looking forward after entering the gate.
The main entrance to the church.(side on)
The allmighty foundation stone, It’s at the base of the tower.
The tower.(you can see the stone under the big window)
Fancy a read? The bulletin board.
Well I hope you enjoyed this. Sorry about no inside pics but it’s not abandond and it was all locked up.
Preview...
The next U/E will be of this abandoned combined water/windmill, No sails or waterwheel. it will have inside pics should be up in a few weeks.
Also thanks Clegg for your comment on the other one. I have attempted to sort the pics.
Nov 20, 2006 4:54 pm - 5* Pretty cool. You are lucky with where you can go. I can’t wait for the summer to come back because theres a REALLY cool place that I have been wanting to go to for some time now.
Nov 20, 2006 4:57 pm - Well, this is not an exploration, more of a quick tour of a church. I’ll give you a 3. Get inside that church to take pictures, tell them your doing a history project for school, or are interested in the church.
Nov 20, 2006 5:12 pm - This is more of a camerea test/ U/E test sort of thing. ive tried to get inside pics but they have a strict no cameras policy (ecept weddings etc) and i dont feel like ghosting into a wedding. Ill be doing a u/e of an ex- RAF airfeild / skysports strip by the end of the week (hopefully)
