This guide will explain how to get through a firewall or proxy filter. We will be using a program called Tor to do this.
To get into specifics, Tor is a special portable version of Mozilla Firefox configured with extensions that allow it to tunnel to a Tor web server (much like a proxy).
ITEMS NEEDED: Flash Drive (yeah you need this too)
Computer (obvious)
Internet Connection (Wouldn’t be browsing my tutorial now if you didn’t have one)
Brain (This one is important)
TO INSTALL:
Step 1.) Go to the Tor website shown below.
Step 2.) Click on the link called Downloads.
Step 3.) Download from a mirror that works for you.
Step 4.) Open the self-extracting archive (the file you downloaded) and select the drive letter of your flash drive.
Step 5.) Wait until it is complete.
HOW TO RUN
Step 1.) Go to the drive letter of your flash drive and double click on Torpark folder.
Step 2.) Double-click on Torpark.exe
Step 3.) Wait for it to load.
Start surfing!
ALTERNATE METHOD OF RUNNING IF DRIVE LETTERS ARE DISABLED ON COMPUTER SYSTEM
Step 1.) Open up notepad.
Step 2.) Type what is shown in the screenshot. (replace insert_drive_letter with your flash drive letter. i.e. D or E or F)
Step 3.) Save the notepad file as this filename on your desktop.
Step 4.) Double click on it. A black screen should come up then close.
Step 3.) Wait for it to load.
Start surfing!

Not bad, I guess, It’s better than proxies, but I’m working on something AE told me about, using firefox and the tamper data extension. I almost got it, but the viruscan thought that firefox was a virus. The viruscan was last updated in 2004, so yeah. Anyway, I’m 4’ing this.

Dec 18, 2006 2:49 pm - 5* for good egg but This didn’t work for me. It just tries to load the internets infinately. The second method opens bleeps loudly from the tower, loads a bunch of jibberish letters and freezes up. This got me in a lot of trouble.
