How to make Traps and snares
1. Caltrop
Materials
1) 2 nails
2) Pliers
3) Welding torch
4) Saw
5) Drill (optional)
6) Dremel or file or bench grinder
Step 1. Using the saw or the Dremel, cut the heads off the nails. You can use any size of nails but bigger is better.
Step 2. (optional) Using the drill, drill a small hole from one tip of the nail to another. This is really hard. Unless you really need to stop a car you don’t need to bother with this.
Step 3. sharpen the side you cut the head off.
Step 4. Bend the nails to a 60° angle
Step 5. weld them together in the middle of each one
2. Animal trap
This isn’t copied, but you’ve probably heard of it.
Materials
1) tin can (unopened)
2) Knife or Dremel
3) Bait
Step 1. Get the can, and using the knife or Dremel, cut an x in the top
Step 2. Dump all the stuff from inside the can out
Step 3. Put bait in. This trap works for rats, mice, and fish. For mice and rats, cheese and bread both work really well. To make the bread even more appealing, put butter on it and toast it. For fish put in a worm. If you use this trap for fish tie a string to it, and bob it around a little. Sometimes you don’t even need bait, because they will be attracted to the motions.
3. Instant Tire Deflators
Unlike solid objects stuck into tires, which block the air flow, sharpened PVC tubes let the air escape through the hollow center
Materials
1) 6 inches of PVC
2) Hacksaw
Step 1. about two inches down from one side of the PVC cut at a 40° angle so the hole is bent like a \\ and really sharp.
Step 2. lodge it into a tire. If you pull the PVC out the cut will probably seal, and even if it doesn’t, the tire will take hours to empty.
