Hello there...
Are you suffering from sleeping in?
Too lazy to get up?
Sick of hearing a boring alarm go "beep beep beep"
Sick of your alarm not going off?
Computer too loud to sleep with? No problem! it work’s whilst the computer is hibernating...
It will turn on 1 minute before the alarm is due!
I am Here to Save the Day!
How on earth can someone on the other end of your computer help you "getting up" in the mornings?!
Thanks to some clever people, I have found a solution.
All you need is
- A computer, preferably close to where you sleep. (if your reading this, you most likely have one, if not sleep in the library or wherever you are reading this from)
- Computer Speakers
- Computer Running WINDOWS Xp
- Internet to download :
- Pc Alarm 3.0.0.1 by aquariussoft - I only know where to get trial
Firstly, download Pc Alarm From:

Ok once you have downloaded, find where you saved the setup file and open it:

Keep going through setup, until you get to here:

Now the software should open up, make sure you delete the one that’s already there (I had problems with it, sound wouldn’t work for some reason):

After you have deleted the preset alarms, add a new one:

Once you have clicked add, this will come up:
[This Member can not display images, they need to upgrade Member Level]
Modify the time to get the time you want it to play your song, music or whatever to wake you up.
Once you have done that, DON’T CLICK OK YET!!
Click on the tab the says music:
[This Member can not display images, they need to upgrade Member Level]
Now adjust these settings, add a song or two to the play list, select random or whichever.
Now i Highly suggest you let it fade in, because if you don’t it will just scare the shit out of you and wake you up.
If it fades in, it’s more peaceful :)
Once you are happy with that, click OK.
Now your alarm is set :P
TIPS:
- There are different things you can do, they are the tabs i have highlighted. You don’t really need them though.
- I suggest you run a test, so you don’t blame me for it not working lol...
Just set the timer for 5 minutes ahead of the time, then hibernate your computer or put it on standby/sleep.
(to hibernate computer, go to start>shutdown>then HOLD SHIFT, the "sleep" option will turn to hibernate)
If the timer is set right, the computer will resume from hibernation by itself 1 minute prior to the alarm, then when it hits the right time, the alarm will go off... Playing your song :D
- The great thing about it is that it works in hibernation! what i do is, have my laptop hooked up to speakers, then before i go to bed, make sure it is hibernating.
If some of you are still not satisfied with this technique to "get you up" in the morning, try changing the music file to something erotic ;)

Overall good egg but I’m not close enough to my computer to hear it when I’m in my bed......but I just use the alarm on my cell phone w/ costom ringers....5* by the way |

Does the computer have to be in hibernation mode for it to work or do you just prefer that? |
