There are heaps and heaps of eggs on how to make darts. So the only reason I made this egg on darts is because these are slightly better, and not made out of shoelaces.
Items Required
Hot Glue (Solder or Super Glue)
A Nut
A Nail
Paper
A Tin Top
Optional
A Grinder
A Drill Bit/Another Nail
Hammer
Method
Take the nut and put it on the paper. Now fill the middle with hot glue.[Sorry, no pic]
While you wait for that to dry, as it takes a while, get the tin lid and cut it into four equal pieces.
These will be the fins.
If you have a grinder, you may want to sharpen the nail now, as nails always seem to be blunt.
Glue the fins on to the back.
Now take the nut and put a hole through the centre with the drill bit/other nail.
put it onto the dart near the front. This is the weight to keep it going front forwards.
The finished Product:
As crappy as they look, these darts actually work quite well, and are a lot cheaper than you can get here, this being New Zealand, at $15 for a packet of 3.
To throw, for those that don’t know how, grip it between the nut and the fins like you are holding a pencil or pen, and still holding it facing straight, extend your arm quickly and release the dart.

you can round the edges of the tin top off with a hammer, or you can simply try to avoid it. On my dart I used a lid off a pop top thingy that already had smooth edges so I sorta forgot....sorry!
