I don’t get enough sleep either...mainly because that’s highschool. Too much homework (depending on where you go) and also the teenage body is retarded and usually won’t let us go to sleep past 11 or 12.
What’s been helping me, and no I’m not saying this is a great idea, is Vivarin. They’re little caffeine pills that you can buy at any drugstore/supermarket. The main problem with those are that people become dependent on them so if you DO try it, then limit yourself.
Good luck

Its a sign of Homosexuality.

Jkjk.

Se iously though. Try exercising. It really does help. Even just 30 minutes of weightlifting will help. It gets your blood flowing stronger and helps rejuvenate you.

I agree with the exercising comment.

I was the same way, always tired no matter how much sleep I got. I would always crash during school, go home and sleep.

Go for a 30 minute bike ride everyday. For the first week, you will be dead tired right after the bike ride and want to go to sleep right away. So, make sure everything you will need to do for the night is done, and then go on your ride. When you get back, chances are you won’t have much energy, so eat dinner, or whatever you are going to do, and then go to bed.

After about a week of doing this, all of the sudden you will find that you have a whole lot of energy after school and will actually want to go for a bike ride.

However, like I said, you will be dead tired for a week or so, until your body gets used to it. What I’m saying is, don’t do it a couple of days and say that it isn’t working because you are always tired, just keep going at it and you will have energy.

Don’t try the drugs until all other options have failed. Like CDizz said, you get dependant on them and then all of the sudden you are addicted to them, and without the pills, you can’t function.

My friend tried the same thing, he took the pills and he got addicted to them. He got to the point of not even being able to do anything if he didn’t have his caffiene pills for the day. It was bad. So, take the pills if you must, but at least give this a try for a couple weeks, the pills are the LAST option.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that. What also helped me is that I enrolled into a class at my school called "Exploration of Human Movement" which is basically an exercise/workout/enduranc class. I have it 1st period every day, and that helps a lot. Exercise releases endorphins that A. improve your mood and B. stimulate your nervous system so you wake up more.

If you can’t get a class, then just try waking up a bit earlier and exercising a bit. My dad does that every day, and I can always see a difference if he has, or hasn’t.

Does that make you a martyr or something? Don’t you think it’s possible a doctor would know a bit about getting you fixed up?

Maybe you remember the New England Patriot’s Tedi Bruschi had an undiagnosed hole in his heart that caused him to have a stroke? It almost killed him, but they fixed it and the stroke did no permanent damage and he’s back to playing football as good as new. You wouldn’t want to let things go that far, would you?

Being tired at your age might be a serious situation. It might be no big deal, or it might life threatening! It could be as simple as an allergy, or as complex as being a diabetic. You could even have a problem with your heart which for some reason isn’t pumping enough blood to your body to get the energy to where it needs to be! But either way it’ll take a professional to diagnose and correct it!

Don’t wait for a serious complication from this, just get to the doctor!

im not diabetic im super skinnie maby a little to skinnie it may be heart problums beacuse I get dizzie or lose vision for a few seconds when I stand up sometimes. thats why I dont smoke. and its not alergys I feel the same way in spring as winter. but what conserns me is one time I passed out at school. for about 20 seconds right in the middle of class. and the worst part is I was standing up.... I did go to the doctors for that one. and they said I was ok. I came down with a horrable flu the next day. I think its something to do with school beacuse I never do work in that class I just sit there and play with my pencil scratching off all the paint.

It’s called a head rush. If you stand up too quickly after sitting for a bit, the blood rushes back to your head to quickly. It happens to everyone, and YES you can faint from it sometimes. Sorry to break it to you, but you’re not special.
