May 16, 2008 3:25 pm - I win. Well... I can’t believe it’s been half a year already. Seems like I quit just a few weeks ago... I have been smoke free for about 6 months now. I don’t usually brag, or toot my horn, but you know what? I’m friggin proud. I didn’t use any patches, or nicotine gum... I was able to bring it under control, and stop on my own. People still smoke in front of me, and I still kind of want to take a drag... But I am in control. My willpower is stronger than my addiction. I feel like a new man. I used to get winded doing the simplest things... Now I have tons of energy and stamina. Also, I used to cough like mad in the morning... I don’t miss that! I feel healthier. I AM healthier. I win. Nov 15, 2007 10:46 pm - I quit... I’d been smoking since I was about 13. At one point, I was up to 2 packs a day. It was killing me. I quit smoking, from a pack a day, to none in a week. Been smokeless for 2 weeks now... :-D *Pats self on back* Unfortunately, the damage is probably already done, and my life has been shortened. At least I didn’t die yesterday, and I’ll probably live to see tomorrow! Anyone who doesn’t smoke, DON’T START. It WILL kill you if you do. Anyone who does, QUIT! It WILL kill you if you don’t.
