On this egg I\\’ll show you how to make ringtones on the program I use, Goldwave. Thankee in no small part to the dearhearts that helped me with my screen shots!
This is the starting screen of Goldwave. The large screen is where you do the editing, the small screen is the \\"control\\" box which is your play button.
Open the MP3 you want to make a ringtone of.
The open song will look like this.
Hit play on the control panel. Once you find the part of the song you want as a ringtone, there are bars (where the yellow lines are) that you drag over. This is the start and stop lines, it will only play the highlighted area. Keep hitting play and tweaking til you\\’re satisfied.
Hit save selection as, and save. This way it will only save that snippet of the song. Or any other MP3 sound clip.
Now go back and reopen the file you just saved.
Both copies of the song will come up, like this. Just x out of the bottom one.
Drag the bar over to the far end, so there\\’s just a small end highlighted
Fade the volume in, and hit ok. Then drag the bar back to the end.
Repeat the same steps with the other side, except you\\’re fading volume out instead.
Now go back into volume control, and maximize.
These amp up your decibals. I usually set them to +20, I don\\’t need to tell any of you if the Dbs are too high for the speakers, it sounds like shit.
Go to file, save as, and change to 64 kbps mono, which is what most ringtones are. Unless you have a phone with dual speakers, then 64 kbps stereo is what you want. Converting it to mono will send all soundwaves to one speaker.
It\\’ll tell you it\\’s been converted and saved, do you want to update your format. Click yes.
Voila! The finished ringtone. This program doesn\\’t upload to your phone, you\\’d have to use whatever you\\’re already using.
This is just the simplest thing to do. This program has different effects, you can paste different clips together, speed things up, slow things down, reverse music. There\\’s a lot more you can do with this. |

1.u have limewire and thats awsome
2.theres a blues clues thing there,why?
3.how do u take screen pics is it a program or just a digital cam |

I got it from my ex, the guy was a whiz with that program.
And yes Wrecker I did put a ton into this...til I got all the pics right and everything running smoothly, 2 hours had gone. |

I had limewire, got too many viruses. What Blues Clues? It’s either something from my son, or one of the gazillion things that downloaded with the virus that I had no clue where it came from.
For the screen shots you use the print screen key on your keyboard, then ctrl+v to copy it into Paint. I didn’t know either, I had to ask in the forums to do this lol. |
