How To: Choc Chip Cookies

So your hungry, but have jack shit around your house to eat? The only stuff thats there is stale old bread and disgusting sauces? Heres a great idea for a snack, It can be made in about 30 minutes(including cooking time) and they’re absolutely delicious!
Ingredients:
175g(6oz) Plain flour
100g(4oz) Sugar
100g(4oz) Butter
1 Egg
175g(6oz) Chocolate Chips
Half A Teaspoon vanilla essence
Utensils:
Measuring spoons
Large Glass bowl
Paper towel
Kitchen scales
Wooden Spoon
Gloves(Not necessary)
Metal spoon(not pictured - used for transfering items to the scales)
Small Glass bowl(not pictured)
Whisk(I used a fork. Also not pictured)
2 Baking Trays(not pictured)
Oven(duhh, not in pic)
Step 1
Set your oven to 180° Celcius.
Step 2
Measure out your butter. Put it into the large glass bowl.
Step 3
Add your flour.
Step 4
Using your fingers (put the gloves on if your a pansy) mix the flour and butter until it looks like bread crumbs.
Step 5
Add your sugar
Step 6
Mix them around witha wooden spoon until the sugar has mixed in with the butter and flour, you cannot tell it was there. Make a well in the middle of the mix using your wooden spoon
Step 7
Grab your small glass bowl. Crack your egg in there.
Step 8
Using your fork/whisk, whisk the egg until it looks like this
Add your vanilla essence
Step 9
Pour the egg/vanilla essence mix into the well in the dry mix(butter sugar flour)
Step 10
Pour in your choc chips. You should have about twice as much as this because we didn’t have many left.
Step 11
Using the wooden spoon mix it up until everything is together.
Step 12
Grab your 2 baking trays. I lined them with greaseproof paper, if you dont have that just smear butter all over it with your paper towel.
Step 13
Using your hand(gloves if needed) or metal spoon, make balls from the mix. Put them on your tray. I used a fork to press down on the top and it makes a nice pattern ontop of it aswell.
Step 14
Do this with all the mix. Mine used 1 1/2 trays.
Step 15
Put them in the oven, leave for about 15-20 minutes depending on your oven. Take out when golden brown.
There you have it, A nice snack that can be made in 30 minutes. I gaurantee this will be the nicest cookies you have ever eaten. If you do not like chocolate/allergic to it etc... you can substitute it with things like sultanas or other things or you could just leave them plain. |
