Ok, ok i know what you are all thinking "who Does’nt know how to use DAEMOMN Tools?"
Well im sure some people will benifit from this egg, so bare with me here.
In this egg i will explain:
What DAEMON Tools is.
And how to mount a .iso image file with it.
What is DAEMON Tools?
well DAEMON Tools is a "virtual CD-ROM drive"
you can mount images of DVD and CD media onto it.
"why do this?" you ask?
well if you downloaded a game etc, you would need to mount it with DAEMON Tools to install is and what-not.
it also makes it easier to run programs with multiple CD’s because you will not have to swap over CD’s, and therefore, protecting the CD, because you will use it less!
this program can bi-pass most copy protection schemes that are being used today.
HOwever some new games/programs have a funstion that, scans your computer, to see if DAEMON Tools is installed, and if it is, the game will automaticly un-install.
DAEMON Tools is a must for laptops, especially if you are travelling, because then ytou will not have to cart aroung all your CD’s.
How to mount a .iso image file with it
Firstly you msut install DAEMON Tools:

Once that is done, you must have a .iso file, to mount.
In this example i will show you hoe to mount tony hawk’s american wasteland:
Ok. Once you have an .iso file, and DAEMON Tools is installed, in the lower right corner of your screen (by your clock) you will see the DAEMON Tools icon:
Here:
Right-Click on this icon:
Then click on the "virtual CD/DVD ROM" button:
Then click on the "set number of devices" button and select the desired number of devices(for this ecample I choose 1):
Then click on the "device 0: [D:] No media" button,
Then click the "mount image" button:
Then select this file you want to mount (in this case it is "THAW PC DVD") and open it:
Then open "my computer" and click on the drive, which should have your game/program mounted on it now:
now you can install the game jsut like you would with the cd! and if it’s downloaded or what-not you can install the crack and have hours of fun with it!

Good egg, 5* no doubt, but be careful with Daemon tools.
I had to reinstall windows last friday, because Daemon tools driver is set to load first on boot, and for some reason, it fucked up. Safe mode was inaccesible, so was last known good configuration.
Bottom line: Unless you need it, don’t fuck around with it |

if the game you are installing, has software on it to detect image mounting, then just download a virtual drive hider |
