First off, i did not try to hard to see if this was already posted.!. so dont get at me!thxs!
What this does it makes it so when you are at a public place(library) and someone chooses to go onto the Internet it shuts down the computer(NO HARM IS DONE TO THE COMP.
First-Right click the Desktop and go to New and Click on shortcut.
This will make a new item on your Desktop
and
Bring up a create shortcut wizard
Second-Its going to ask you to type the location of the item, So in that text box type
Shutdown -s -t
the -t is the amount of time you want the computer to shutdown.
after you type -t type -c then type a text in between a perenthises "text"
Example- Shutdown -s -t 120 -c "Jezus has you"
(put the comment in perenthises) (-c means comments)
Third-Hit Next and its going to type a name for the short cut(shutdown.exe) Erase that and
Type Internet Explorer
Then Hit Finish
An Item will apper on your desktop
Fourth-Right click it and click on properties and go to the shortcut tab and click change icon... A message will apper just press ok.
Then click the E pic and press ok then apply.
And There you have it.
Oh and the only way to abort the shutdown is goto start---run---- and type shutdown -a and it aborts the shutdown...
