Hello bitches and gentle men have you ever had this problem??You see a theme for firefox that you want but the version is out of date.
Well Im going to show you how to fix this first what you wanna do is find your theme and go to the download page. After you have done that you wanna right click the download link and click "save file as" save it to somewhere where you wont lose it like your desktop.
once you do that open up winrar and rename the file dont change anything but the extension at the end change it from .jar to .rar
once that is done you are going to want to open up the installer file which is an rdf with wordpad so you can edit it.
okay once that is done go to the part in the rdf file that says"" and change the number right after that to 2.0.0.1 or whatever version of firefox you have. This will make the max version to be used on this theme the one that you have.
Once youve done that just go to file then save and close wordpad. You should still have WinRar open and when you close word pad it will ask if you want to update this archive and you click yes.
Now that youve done that go back to your desktop or wherever you saved the theme through WinRar. Next find your rar file.
Now change your file back to a jar file.
Now, open up firefox again and go to the top of the menu that says tools go to addons and then themes once you do this drag and drop the jar file from winrar to the themes window.Now it should start downloading when you are asked click yes and the theme will install itself.
And there go just click use this theme and restart firefox note that the theme in the picture is blue now.

Dec 25, 2006 5:31 am - yah hes right but if this happens restart in safe mode and click the box that says "disable all addons" and go in and uninstall the theme
