Right, first of all, you must know a little about chemistry, as i won’t go in to details of how to seperate out liquids. and i don’t want no #*@! heads who know nothing telling me this won’t work. Right, we all know why we want KNO3. so.
1) Get some fertilizer, containing ammonium nitrate. Hopefully 100%
2) Add Methanal must be METHANAL.
3) One of the products is HNO3 (nitric acid) 4 an equal number of moles of this is produced, as fertilizer is added. (NO3 from the fertilizer. duh!)
4) Concentrate this. and add any type of compund with potassium in, which is legal to obtain, can be generally anything. Guess what, as potassium is higher than hydrogen in the reactivity series, it will displace it, producing KNO3. adnt ehre you go!
I suggest you leave end solution to evaporate, to obtain crystals. |

why would u need KNO3 if u have Ammonium nitrate. Ammonium nitrate is an explosive. it kinda defeat ur purpose for KN03. |

I’ve never heard of someone using ammounium nitrate for BP. AN is very hard to detonate and thats why it is used with other volatiles such as oil or nitro methane.
If you have ammonium nitrate already, fuck the "methanal", just dissolve the NH3NO3 in water and add the potassium salt. This will give off ammonia gas though, so be carful. |
