Cleaning
A clean iPod is a must, If your iPod is scratched or dirty, this will help.

First, you will need.




Second, Wet the a cottong ball with brasso.


Third, apply to iPod with this method:

Then once its all nice and brassoed(making up words) it should look like this:


Leave the iPod alone for about 60-90 seconds. Then using wet/moist cotton balls begin to wipe the brasso off. As more brasso comes off, use dryer cotton balls.

After drying it throughly your iPod should look like this:

Theres different thing you can mod to change your iPod’s appearance. We will go through:

Then this is your EGG my man.....

First, you will need iPod Wizard Beta

Once redirected to IPW.net scroll down to the end of the first post and click on the .zip file.


Install


Leave it on your desktop for now.


First you need to download the Theme you want. ipodwizard.net has a great variety. So go and find your theme.


Download.

While downloading your theme, Connect your iPod, Open itunes and set these options.

Your theme should be done downloading.


Now Open ipodwizard (while iTunes is closed, iPod connected and iPod is set to disk use)





Now change the Edit mode from updater to iPod


Then load iPod Firmware



Wait a sec....



Then it should look something like this, My images are different because i already have a theme but that shouldn’t matter.



Now, to add a theme click Load All
I messed up, Make sure YOU click Load All not Load bitman or else you will have to add one image at a time!



now find your theme you previously downloaded.



Find it an open it.

Your ipod now has a new theme installed

If all you want to do is change the theme, then go down and follow the last few steps of the STRINGS section. It will show you how to save and safely remove your ipod.



Strings

This is my second favorite thing to do with my ipod, right after changing the theme. By changing strings you can change almost any text your ipod displays to what ever you want.

Click on the "Strings" tab



Change the Lang Block from 0 to 24



Now you can either scroll down and see the text and pick or you can search for a particular one. I will be searching for the "iPod" that comes up on the top bar when ipod is left untouched for sometime.

So find, click on it. Change the text. And click Change String.



Now that your theme is loaded and your string changed click "Write"



Then



If you don’t follow this rule you can fuck up your iPod. So make sure you do.



You’re done. Now all you have to do is remove your ipod safely.



So click Eject and disconnect your ipod.



Leave your ipod alone while it loads the new theme and string this takes about 1 minute.

Your iPod should look like this now.

Useful Programs

iPod Access:


iPod Access for Windows brings to Windows users what Mac users have been have been raving about: the abilty to freely transfer you files from you ipod back to your computer.
Unlike other iPod applications on the market today iPod Access uses the iPods internal database to show song information.
By using the database, song listings can be displayed instantly, playlist data can be viewed, and songs purchased from the iTunes Music Store can be displayed properly.
Most other applications must fetch song data from each song individually or force the user to sort through multiple folders without the use of ID3 tags, making them extremely slow and incompatible with file formats other than regular MP3s.

This program is the one i use the most. It converts themes so that the Load all button works! So if you clicked "Load All" and the theme didn’t load, Use this program.
