After being bored for countless art classes I figured i’d be "cool" and start throwing some pencils in the ceiling (it was a slow day). After sticking them repetely in the ceiling i realized no one else knew how to do it! A couple people just started flinging them up there to the point i was worried about my safety. So i figured not everyone knows how to do it correctly so here’s how....
(There are ways to stick them by grabbing the point and spinning them up like a dagger but the ceiling has to be the perfect distanstce away to get one to stick. This way just torpedos them straight up so it’ll work for any height ceiling (Also paint is my enemy. I only have a button mouse and it’s acting up. So no poking fun at my lame paints.)
Step 1.) Find a long wooden pencil and sharpen as pointy as it’ll go ( this pic found off the web)
Step 2.) Lay the pencil flat on ur palm so the points laying paralled on your middle finger.
Step 3 Move your entire arm downwards to ur hip while keeping the pencil level by using ur wrists to compensate the slant.
Step 4 In one fluid motion bring ur entire arm straight up and point ur hand straight up.
Step 5 The pencil should be going straight up at this point and once you perfect it, you can increase the difficulty. (My record for both hands is 12 pencils in one throw :)
Dec 30, 2006 3:44 am - Egg’s not to bad, but I dont see the logic in throwing pencils at ceilings. I’ll read a phonebook before I get that bored. I know I would, I’ve seen me do it.
Dec 30, 2006 5:59 am - i dont think i would ever read a phone book, id stick with the pencils to the ceiling, its good i would never have thought about doing that i usually just flop on the desk and the teacher gets angry. nice pictures they are very unique REALY THEY ARE GOOD!
