Tire of the same ’ol same ’ol with XP?Want something like Vista, but without the cost or warez? This is for you!
Change to something like this:
Theres not too much to explain or show here.Simply download the program, and run the setup.
The setup program will guide you through the whole thing(your thinking blah.blah.blah. right now-right?)I must warn you to read ALL the setup tells you.It is very important and this will alter system files, and could seriously screw up your system. However, if you do read everything then you will be just fine.I do recommend you to make a System Restore Point before installing though.
The pack includes these programs:
Vista Sidebar, which includes weather, media player,real-time RSS feed,CPU usage and memory usage viewer(much like Windows’ TaskManager), calender and several other useful tools.
Styler, which aids in complete customization of your visual styles.
VisualToolTip, which shows nice little thumbnails of minimized programs, and a different way of displaying tray icons.
LClock, which allows you to change the way the clock is displayed, allowing for Vista styled experience.
Other features:
Vista icons
Vista colors
Vista wallpapers
Vista screensaver
Vista style interface for many Windows’ programs, such as TaskManager, Calculator, etc.
Much more Vista styled options
There are two general themes-Vista Basic & Aero style, which can be changed by acessing Display Properties>Appearance
Dec 31, 2006 10:12 am - Oh yeah- a quick question. Is it heavy on the resources like RAM and stuff? I got sick of these kind of things cus they took my gig and a half of RAM down to like 512 mb. How bout this one?
Dec 31, 2006 1:02 pm - 1 star becuase these are just themes which suck.
You can get vista from a torrent if you viris scan it there is no cost and most warez work fine.
all copies of xp home pro and mce i got from warez are fine.
Dec 31, 2006 2:28 pm - -El_EpIdEmIk:Why am I an idiot?It is neither warez or something you buy.It is a free pack.
--LeGeNd-:It uses a little bit of RAM, but what is used is by certain things that can be disabled, such as the Vista Sidebar, Styler, etc, but you still get a great experience using what is changed in system files.
-andtherestwasjust ile ce:The softpedia link works for me, but seeing as you’ve got it now we dont have much of a problem I don’t s’pose.
And to everyone else that enjoys this, I’m glad to have been able to bring it to you attention.
BTW, another useful program that is similar, but without all the sidebars and extras is WindowBlinds Any questions can be messeged to me.
Thanks again guys.
