How to build a potato cannon

This is a guide which i hope will help anyone who wants to build a successful and powerful as hell spud gun.

Materials:

5 ½ ft. of 2 ½ in. PVC

2 ft. of 4 in. PVC

4 in. to 2 ½ in. reducer

4 in. female cap w/ screw off end cap

PVC primer/cement

2 screws

bbq igniter

Metal file

You can also buy rifled barrels and 2 inch bouncy balls and all sorts of stuff to shoot at www.spudtech.com

instructions:

the 5 ½ ft piece is the barrel and attaches to the reducer which attaches to the 2 ft long chamber and that is what the end piece attaches to. After you have glued everything together take the file and sharpen the barrel on the outside rim so when you shove a potato into it is will cut it to the perfect fit. Prime and glue all of these pieces and LET THEM DRY.

Then screw the 2 screws in to the chamber with about a 1/8 inch of space between the tips. Attach wires at the opposite ends of the bbq igniter (which i bought on ebay for 7 bucks including shipping) and on the heads of the screws. there should be a large spark jumping between the heads when the trigger of the bbq igniter is pressed. Or you can just drill a hole in the chamber and hold a match over it which is much easier to get to work.

now that that is complete you can place something down the barrel to the entrance of the chamber and make sure it is tight and no leaks to the chamber. Now screw off the end cap and spray some regular right guard or hair spray into the chamber. Screw on the cap and press the bbq trigger. it should shoot with much force. It can shoot lemons, potatos and one time I got a tube of caulking and wrapped electrical tape over it until it fit into the barrel perfectly. When I shot it it hit a tree and white caulking went everywhere within 20 feet.

I built a different one that hed a removable barrel I bought a coupler and made it so you could remove the barrel. I have a park pretty close to my house that I shoot it in it is about 200 yards long with apartments at one end. When I get a good launch I can hit the road infront of the apartments and sometimes get it on the roof I have gotten a couple of windows too.
Just a few days ago me and 2 of my friends took my cannon to a park behind my house and a black guy had parked his car on the road about 160 yards away so we decided to shoot at it. On the first try we nailed it on the hood and it splattered everywhere.
